There is something so special about photographing an anniversary session. It feels slower, more intentional, and so full of meaning. This session in Greenville was exactly that. Just the two of them, taking a moment to pause and celebrate the life they’ve built together.
From the very beginning, their connection was effortless. The kind of love that doesn’t need a lot of direction. The way they looked at each other, laughed together, and naturally fell into each moment made this session feel more like a date than a photoshoot.
We started walking through one of Greenville’s beautiful garden paths, surrounded by lush greenery and soft light filtering through the trees. It was the perfect setting for something romantic and timeless. I always love locations like this because they give us so much variety while still feeling peaceful and intimate.
As we moved through the session, we kept things simple and relaxed. A few gentle prompts, a lot of movement, and space for them to just be together. Some of my favorite moments were the quiet ones. Forehead touches, soft smiles, and the way he pulled her in close without even thinking about it. Those are the moments that tell the real story.
Partway through, they changed into a second outfit which brought a slightly more dressed up feel while still staying true to their style. It added just enough variety while keeping everything cohesive and natural. This is something I always recommend for anniversary sessions if you want a mix of casual and elevated images.
Toward the end, we slowed things down even more. Sitting together, soaking in the moment, and letting the golden light wrap around them. These are always the images that feel the most meaningful. The ones that take you right back to how it felt to be there.
Anniversary sessions are not just about photos. They are about remembering. Remembering how it started, where you are now, and everything in between. They are about documenting your love in a way that feels honest and true to you.
