Cinematic 6 Month Milestone Video at Home in Greenville, South Carolina
There is something so special about seeing your family in motion.
Baby Amelia’s 6 month milestone session was not only captured in photos, but also through a beautiful, cinematic highlight video. And truly, this is where the magic of this session came to life in a completely different way.
This sweet family had just moved into their newly renovated home, and it could not have been a more perfect setting for an in home video session. The natural light pouring through the windows, the thoughtfully designed spaces, and the calm, joyful atmosphere made every moment feel effortless and real.
Instead of posing for still moments, we focused on movement, connection, and the little in between moments that you never want to forget.
Mom snuggling her baby in the nursery.
Dad tossing Amelia gently in the air, making her giggle.
Tiny hands grabbing at her parents’ faces.
The whole family playing together in the living room.
Even their two dogs wandering in and out, just like a normal day at home.
We moved through the same spaces as the photo session, but with a completely different intention. The living room, the bright kitchen, the nursery, the master bedroom, and even outside by the garden, pool, and pond all became part of their story.
Video allows you to remember not just what this season looked like, but what it felt like.
The way your baby moves.
The way they smile.
The way your family interacts and loves each other in the most natural way.
These are the moments that pass so quickly, and video has a way of bringing them back to life every single time you watch it.
If you are planning a milestone session and want something even more meaningful than photos alone, adding a highlight video is such a beautiful way to preserve your family’s story.

In home six month baby milestone photoshoot in Greenville, SC
Baby Amelia’s 6 month milestone photoshoot was so sweet and SO much fun. I had the pleasure of taking both photos and videos of this family and baby photo session. The family had just recently moved into their new home after completing extensive renovations. It was such a dream location for a photographer. The designer curated decor, the incredible windows and natural light throughout the home, and the loving family ready to play and create memories all made for just a beautiful photoshoot. What an honor to capture these photos and videos. We even included the family’s two dogs in the photos as well.
We used lot of different areas in the home in order to show off what the family’s day to day life is like with their new baby. We started in the living room before moving to the stunning, newly renovated kitchen. We, of course, took lots of photos in baby girl’s beautiful nursery as well. And we used the master bed. I always love getting those snuggly, laying down on the bed photos. And lastly, we headed outside to the garden, the pool, and the pond for some outdoor photos as well.

A blush-toned tulle dress for the birthday girl brought movement and texture, while her second outfit added a slightly more playful feel. Mom’s neutral tones paired beautifully with the overall palette, creating a cohesive, elevated look.
The custom floral arrangement added something truly special. Loose, garden-style blooms in soft pinks and creams gave the session a romantic, heirloom quality. Paired with a small bouquet in her hands, it gave the birthday girl something to interact with naturally.
And of course, the subtle birthday touch. A delicate “Happy Birthday” headband and balloons that kept the focus on her without overwhelming the scene.
Favorite Moments
Her quiet, curious gaze
Standing still for just a second, holding her balloon, taking everything in. These in-between moments always say the most.
Tiny hands holding fresh flowers
There is something about toddlers and flowers. Gentle, curious, completely unposed.

Family Photos During Spring Cherry Blossoms in Greenville, SC
There is something about spring in Greenville that just feels like a fresh start. The trees begin to bloom, the light softens, and everything feels a little slower in the best way. This family session during my spring blossom minis captured exactly that feeling.
From the moment we started, this session was full of connection. Quiet snuggles, playful lifts, and those in-between glances that say everything without a word. These are the moments you want to remember, and spring gives the perfect setting to hold them.
Why Spring Cherry Blossoms Are Perfect for Family Photos
Spring sessions in Greenville are all about softness. The pale blooms, light greens, and neutral tones create a clean, timeless look that keeps the focus on your family.
This setting works especially well for young families. There is space to move, room for kids to play, and natural prompts that bring out genuine smiles.
In this session, we leaned into:
Gentle movement like lifting and swinging baby
Close, connected poses with lots of touch
Simple prompts that kept things relaxed and natural
The result is a gallery that feels both elevated and effortless.
What to Wear for Spring Family Photos
Wardrobe played a big role in how cohesive this session felt. Soft blues, creams, and warm neutrals blended beautifully with the blossoms.
A few takeaways you can use for your own session:
Choose a soft color palette with one or two main tones
Keep textures simple and elevated
Dress baby in something neutral and classic
The goal is to complement the setting, not compete with it.
A Peek Into This Greenville Family Session
This session was filled with the kind of moments parents want to hold onto.
Dad lifting his baby into the air and getting that full, open smile.
Mom holding him close, soaking in those quiet seconds.
The three of them together, laughing, completely in their own world.
We even ended with a relaxed moment on a blanket, letting baby play while mom and dad stayed close. It is often these slower moments that become favorites.
Planning Your Own Spring Family Photos in Greenville, SC
Spring blossom sessions are limited each year and fill quickly. Timing matters since the blooms only last a short window, but when everything lines up, it is worth it.
If you are thinking about documenting this season with your family, this is your sign.
Pregnancy Announcement with Twin Toddlers in Greenville, SC
There is something extra special about documenting a growing family, especially when little ones are still so small themselves. This pregnancy announcement with twin toddlers in Greenville SC was full of joy, movement, and the kind of love you can feel instantly.
We met at Legacy Park during peak cherry blossom season, and everything about the setting felt soft and celebratory. Light blooms, warm air, and a family stepping into a brand new season together.
Spring Cherry Blossoms at Legacy Park in Greenville SC
Spring mini sessions in Greenville SC are always a favorite, but this one stood out. The cherry blossoms created the perfect backdrop without overwhelming the connection in front of the camera.
The soft pink and white blooms paired beautifully with mom’s light blue gingham dress and the girls’ matching outfits. Everything felt cohesive, timeless, and effortless.
If you are planning a spring session, this is exactly why timing matters. Blooming trees, gentle light, and space for your kids to move freely make all the difference.
A Pregnancy Announcement with Twin Toddlers
Fifteen-month-old twins bring energy, curiosity, and unpredictability, which is exactly what makes sessions like this so meaningful.
There were moments of stillness, like both girls sitting in mom’s lap, and moments of pure toddler chaos, like tiny hands grabbing ultrasound photos and wandering off mid-shot. Both matter. Both tell the story.
One of my favorite parts of this session was how naturally the announcement unfolded. Instead of forcing a pose, we let the girls interact with the ultrasound photos. Smiles, curiosity, and a little bit of mischief made the moment feel real.
What to Wear for a Spring Family Session
This family chose outfits that worked beautifully for both the setting and the story:
Soft, neutral tones that complement the environment
Light fabrics that move easily with toddlers
Coordinated, not matching, pieces
Comfortable shoes for walking and holding little ones
Mom’s flowy dress added movement, while dad’s classic, simple look grounded the session. The girls’ matching outfits tied everything together without feeling overly styled.
Why These Moments Matter
This season of life moves fast. One baby becomes two, and suddenly you are preparing for three.
Photographing a pregnancy announcement like this is about more than sharing news. It is about holding onto what life looks like right now. The way your toddlers reach for you. The way you hold them a little closer knowing everything is about to change.

For their daughter, a simple, light dress tied everything together without feeling overdone.
If you are planning your own session, think:

Coordinated, not matching
Incorporating Your Ultrasound Photos
One of the most meaningful parts of this session was how they included their ultrasound images.
Holding the strip close, letting their daughter take a turn, and weaving it into natural moments made everything feel personal instead of posed.
These small details are what turn a photo session into a story you will actually feel when you look back at it.
Creating Natural, Connected Moments
Nothing about this session was stiff or overly directed.
We focused on simple prompts:
Walking together under the blossoms
Dad pulling their daughter into a spin
Quiet moments with hands resting gently on her growing belly

Cinematic Video For Newborn Session - Greenville Newborn Photographer and Videographer
There is something about those first days that feels impossible to hold onto. The way your baby curls into you. The quiet weight of them on your chest. The way your toddler leans in, curious and gentle.
Photos freeze those moments. Video lets you feel them again.
This in-studio newborn session was designed to do both.
Why Add Video To Your Newborn Session
If you are expecting, you already know how quickly everything is changing. What most families do not realize is how fast these early days pass once your baby is here.
A cinematic newborn video captures:
The way you hold your baby close
Soft movements and natural reactions
The connection between siblings
The small, in-between moments you do not notice in real time
It is not posed or forced. It is guided, but natural. You get to simply be with your baby while everything is documented for you.
A Calm, In-Studio Newborn Experience
This session took place in a soft, light-filled studio with a simple color palette. Mom wore a light blue dress that photographed beautifully against the neutral tones. Baby was wrapped in a classic cream swaddle. Big sister matched with a soft blue bow and dress.
Everything was chosen to feel timeless and easy.
You do not need to overthink outfits or what to do with your hands. I guide you the entire time with simple prompts:
Sit close and pull baby in
Whisper to your toddler
Rest and breathe for a moment
The result is a session that feels calm, not overwhelming.
The Moments You Will Want Back
One of the most meaningful parts of this session was watching big sister interact with her new baby.
She leaned in for kisses. She watched closely. She stayed tucked in between her parents, right where she felt safe.
Dad held his baby and looked down with that quiet pride. Mom held everything together with a softness you could feel in every frame.
These are the moments video brings back in a way photos alone cannot.
Is A Newborn Video Right For You
If you are the kind of parent who wants to remember how it felt, not just how it looked, this is for you.
You will hear the tiny sounds. You will see the movement. You will remember the pace of those early days.
And years from now, you will be able to show your child exactly how loved they were from the very beginning.

In Studio Newborn Photography In Greer, South Carolina
Baby Cooper, big sister Lily and their mom and dad came into my favorite studio in Greer, South Carolina for Cooper’s newborn photos. I had the honor of taking Michelle’s maternity photos with baby baby Cooper a few weeks ago in Falls Park in downtown Greenville. This sweet family took advantage of my maternity and newborn photography package deal. If you’re interested in getting all of the information on my maternity and newborn packages for yourself, you can see all of the details on my pricing guide, which you can download right here.
We started out the session with baby Cooper in a sweet little outfit that his parent brought. When we were ready for him to fall asleep, we transitioned him to my toes out swaddle. I used a white swaddle for baby Cooper. I love using this specific wrap, because it allows us to see the baby’s cute little toes. Parents always love it too.
We took these newborn photos in one of my favorite newborn photography studios in the Greenville area, Radiant Collective Studio, which is located right in the heart of downtown Greer. I love that it is laid out just like a house. It’s perfect for my clients who don’t want to take newborn photos in their own home. Maybe they don’t want to worry about cleaning or maybe their in the middle of a remodel. But if they still love the look of those in home newborn photos, a home-like studio is the perfect fit. There’s a bedroom, a living room, a fireplace, and adorable wallpaper. If you’re looking for a studio with a home like feel, this studio is perfect for you.

Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions in Greenville, SC
Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions are always one of my favorite family mini themes of the year as a family photographer in Greenville, SC. Legacy Park has the most stunning rows of cherry trees that bloom with beautiful white and pink blossoms for about one week in March. It’s such a fun way to document the start of spring with your family. Snuggles and fun with your family in front of the beautiful flowers on the cherry trees. I even planned these photos for golden hour, right before sunset to give each family stunning lighting for their photoshoot.
If you want spring family photos in Greenville, South Carolina, Cherry Blossom Mini sessions are such a great time of year with a beautiful backdrop for your photos. Spring is my favorite time of year in Greenville. The beautiful flowers, the greenery starting to come back, trees leafing out, and flowers all over the city. There’s no better time of year for family photos in my opinion. I always highly recommend booking your family photos for the spring season during the blossoms and flowers. Another benefit of spring photos is that golden hour is not too late in the day, so you don’t have to keep kids up past their bedtime for beautiful photos.
Lily and her two daughters (the family in the photos below) are a family I have worked with multiple times in the past year. I always love getting to document mommy and me photos for the three of them.

In Home Newborn Photos in Piedmont, SC
It was so special to take baby Lydia’s newborn photos in this sweet family’s home in Piedmont, South Carolina. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this wonderful family a few times now for spring family photos and fall family photos as well as maternity photos, so it meant so much to be invited into their home and into their newborn bubble to document them welcoming the newest member of the family home during their in home newborn photoshoot. After getting to be their family and maternity photographer, I loved getting to be their newborn photographer too!
Little Lydia Rose was only two weeks old, and she was such a dream baby. She was so easy, sleepy, and calm during our newborn photos together. Our family photo time was so sweet and relaxed. The big siblings absolutely loved their new baby. They loved kissing her and loving on her and snuggling. This whole family was just such a joy to work with and photograph.
We took photos in the master bedroom, in the nursery, in the kitchen, and on the screen porch. I love using as many rooms in the home as possible to capture as much variety as possible for the family and to capture the true essence of what life with your little family really looks like.
We, of course, included photos of baby alone, baby with the whole family, baby with mom, baby with dad, and baby with siblings. I love how much variety we were able to capture during during this in home newborn session.

In Home Newborn Photos in Greenville, SC
If you’ve put off booking newborn photos, and you’ve been wondering if it’s too late…it’s not! While some newborn photographers have strict rules about the baby being under 2 or 3 weeks old, I’m the exact opposite. I’ve photographed newborns from 1 day told to 3 months old! Baby Otto was 7 weeks old for his in home newborn photos. Of course, the photos will be different depending on the age of the baby. 2-3 month olds may not love to be swaddled anymore. And they may not sleep during their session. But that’s okay! They might smile for us and show us their beautiful eye color. Every mom has a different experience of postpartum. If you know it will take you awhile to feel like yourself again, it’s okay to book your newborn photos a little later than normal. If you know you love the sleepy snuggly photos, you may want to aim for under 3 weeks. It’s totally up to you!
While many mamas opt to use my client closet full of dresses, this sweet family decided to keep things casual during their in home photos. We used so many cute spots around their Greenville, SC home. From the nursery to the kitchen to the living room to the master bedroom, I love to get as much variety in backgrounds as possible. I even tidy up where needed in order to get the best photos.
Baby Otto also had a three year old big brother. Toddlers always make newborn photos so much for fun. I love the energetic vibes, the playing on the floor, and the jumping on the bed. My goal is to show what life is really like for you in this season. I love to document love and authenticity. That’s why in home newborn photos are so special to me and my absolute favorite part of what I do as a newborn photographer.
If you’re interested in a newborn photoshoot for your own newborn baby, I would absolutely LOVE to work with you and have your sweet family in front of my camera next. You can see all of the information about my newborn sessions here.
Downtown Greenville Maternity and Family Photos in the Winter
Downtown Greenville is beautiful in any season. Even in the middle of the winter, it’s still stunning with gorgeous colors and greenery all around. That’s what made it the perfect backdrop for this beautiful mama’s maternity photos in February. Michelle asked me which locations would look good during winter for her maternity photos. Luckily, I know of LOTS of great spots in the winter here in Greenville, South Carolina. Out of the options I gave her, she chose Falls Park in downtown Greenville. This is baby number two for this sweet couple. They also have a two year old daughter, Lily, who was so sweet and excited to be a big sister. She loved getting to show me where her new baby brother is and getting to snuggle her mom and dad.
These photos were taken in the afternoon, and we were able to use all of my favorite locations in downtown Greenville. From the smaller waterfall and vine covered stairs to the big falls underneath Liberty Bridge with the downtown Greenville skyline in the background, to the gardens around the stone cottage, every part of Falls Park was looking so beautiful.
Michelle used one of my favorite dresses in my client closet. It’s from Worth Collective and it’s a stunning, flowy blue and white floral toile dress with puff sleeves and romanic neckline. I love the blue and white theme for a baby boy on the way. I have so many dresses in my client closet for mamas to choose from. You can see all the options here!

First Birthday Photoshoot in a Natural Light Studio
The first year goes faster than anyone warns you. One minute you are holding a newborn, and the next you are celebrating a first birthday with a busy, curious little one who wants to explore everything.
This first birthday photoshoot in Greenville, SC was a beautiful way to pause time and honor that fleeting season. Everett’s milestone session was full of soft light, genuine connection, and the kind of moments that feel simple now but will mean everything later.
Celebrating Everett’s First Birthday
Everett is right in that sweet in-between stage. Bright eyes. Big expressions. Always on the move.
For first birthday sessions, I always make space for both. I photograph your baby on their own to capture their personality just as it is in this moment. Then we bring parents in for connection and legacy. Those family images matter just as much as the milestone itself.
Everett loved crawling toward the camera, sitting proudly on his own, and soaking up every bit of attention from mom and dad.
A Natural Light Studio in Greenville, SC
This session took place in a clean, neutral, natural light studio here in Greenville. These spaces are perfect for milestone sessions.
Soft window light keeps everything calm and flattering. Neutral textures let your baby be the focus. There are no distractions, just room for movement, play, and connection.
It creates images that feel timeless and beautiful in your home for years to come.
Wardrobe From the Client Closet
Everett’s mom wore one of my favorite dresses from the client closet, which made styling effortless.
Soft florals, neutral tones, and comfortable fabrics photograph beautifully and take the pressure off planning outfits. When moms feel confident and cared for, it shows in every image.
This is part of the high-touch experience I offer. You get to show up and enjoy the moment.
Favorite Moments From This Session
A few moments I know this family will treasure forever:
Everett crawling straight toward the camera with a determined little grin
Dad lifting him high, both of them laughing
Quiet cuddles with mom on the bed
All three of them close together, soaking in this season
These are the moments that tell the real story of your family.
A First Birthday Video Keeps This Season Alive
This session also included a short highlight video. Video adds movement, sound, and emotion that photos alone cannot.
Tiny gestures. The way your baby moves. The way you interact without thinking about it. These films become priceless as time passes and details fade.

Access to professional props, wraps, and backdrops
A space that is already styled and ready
A hands-off experience where everything is prepared for you
Studio newborn photos often focus on the baby alone or with simple family poses. The environment is controlled, which allows for consistent lighting and carefully posed images.
If you love a timeless, styled aesthetic and want to step into a calm, prepared space, a studio session may be the right choice.
In Home Newborn Photos
In home newborn photos take place in your own space. These sessions are slower, more relaxed, and centered around real life with your new baby.
An in home newborn session is ideal if you want:
Photos that reflect your everyday life
A more natural, documentary feel
To stay home during the newborn stage
Images that include meaningful details from your space
In home sessions often include moments like feeding, snuggling on the couch, rocking in the nursery, and quiet connection as a family. The focus is less on posing and more on presence.
If you value comfort, authenticity, and storytelling, in home newborn photos may be the better fit.
Which Option Is Right for You?
There is no wrong choice. The best option is the one that aligns with how you want to remember this season.
Ask yourself:
Do I want styled portraits or lifestyle images?
Do I prefer leaving the house or staying home?
Do I want my home and nursery included in the story?
Your answers will point you in the right direction.

Winter Family Photos At Paris Mountain State Park
There is something powerful about choosing to slow down at the start of a new year. Winter has a way of stripping everything back to what matters most. This New Year’s Eve family session at Paris Mountain State Park felt exactly like that. Quiet. Intentional. Full of connection. Winter family photos at Paris Mountain State Park are especially meaningful when the focus is simply being together.
This session was created for parents and their two teenage boys. It was designed to preserve this season of family life and to provide images for an adoption profile book. Every moment was approached with care, authenticity, and purpose.
Meet the Family
This family shares an easy, genuine closeness. The kind that shows up in small gestures. A hand on a shoulder. A shared laugh while walking the trail. Teen years can feel fleeting in a different way than early childhood. There is independence growing alongside deep connection. These images honor both.
Why Paris Mountain State Park Is Perfect in Winter
Paris Mountain State Park is one of my favorite Greenville locations for winter family photos. The bare trees allow soft light to filter through evenly. The neutral earth tones keep the focus on faces and relationships. Winter sessions here feel peaceful and unrushed, especially during the quieter weeks around the holidays.
The wooded trails gave us space to move, walk, and let moments unfold naturally. No stiff posing. Just real interaction.
A Session With Purpose
These photos were created for more than one reason. Along with preserving family memories, they were intended for an adoption profile book. That mattered. We focused on warmth, stability, and belonging. The goal was not perfection. It was honesty and heart.
Gentle prompts helped everyone relax, especially the boys. Walking together. Standing close. Letting parents connect in between. The result was imagery that feels sincere and deeply human.
Favorite Moments From the Session
Parents sharing quiet smiles while standing together among the trees
Walking arm in arm down the trail as the light softened
The boys leaning in naturally, confident and at ease
These are the moments that tell the story.

A Joyful Holiday Session at M Judson, Main Street, and Camperdown
If you’ve ever dreamed of celebrating your growing family with something magical and memorable, Christmas maternity photos in downtown Greenville, SC might be exactly what your heart is longing for. This sweet couple wanted a session that blended the joy of the holidays with the excitement of welcoming their first baby, and downtown Greenville provided the perfect backdrop.
We started their session at M Judson Bookstore, one of the coziest and most charming spots in Greenville. The warm brick, twinkle lights, and inviting storefront made the sweetest beginning to their story. Downtown is always beautiful, but there’s something extra special about it at Christmastime. Everything feels a little more nostalgic, a little more meaningful, especially when you’re celebrating a new life.
From there, we walked over to the iconic Christmas tree on Main Street. With its glowing lights and colorful ornaments, it added the perfect pop of holiday cheer. This couple wanted their session to feel festive and full of joy, so we leaned fully into the holiday magic. The tree became a stunning backdrop for their photos as they placed their hands gently on her growing bump and beamed with pure excitement. These are the kinds of images their child will cherish one day — the ones that show just how loved they were before they were even born.
We finished the session at Camperdown Plaza, where modern architecture meets whimsical Christmas décor. Between the elegant lights, the outdoor installations, and the open space, it gave us the perfect mix of candid moments and softly posed portraits. One of my favorite details from this session is how they incorporated their sonogram photos. It added such a meaningful, personal touch and captured the sweet anticipation of this season.

Greenville, South Carolina Family Christmas Photographer
This Christmas mini session was such a joy to photograph. Families travel from all over the Upstate during the holiday season, and this sweet family joined me at Radiant Collective Studio, one of the most beautiful indoor spaces for Christmas photos near Travelers Rest, South Carolina. With flocked Christmas trees, soft golden lights, and a timeless neutral palette, it creates the perfect winter backdrop for families wanting classic holiday portraits.
Their little girl absolutely stole the show. From the moment she walked in with her big smile and sparkly holiday dress, she brought so much personality and charm to the session. She explored the studio with curiosity, touched the ornaments gently, and giggled as the twinkling lights reflected in her eyes. Children bring such magic to Christmas sessions, and her joy made every photograph feel even more meaningful.
One thing I love about being considered one of the best photographers for Christmas photos near Travelers Rest, South Carolina is creating a relaxed and playful environment for kids. This family was wonderful at embracing all the little in-between moments snuggles by the tree, joyful laughter, and soft smiles exchanged between Mom and Dad while they watched their daughter play. These moments capture the heart of the season.
Her outfit was perfect for the setting. The deep green dress photographed beautifully against the snowy trees and added a festive pop of color to the neutral studio backdrop. The combination of cozy winter textures and soft glowing lights created a magical atmosphere that felt warm and inviting.
Some of my favorite images from this session were the candid moments of Mom and Dad lifting her up, spinning her gently, and sharing sweet hugs as a family. Christmas minis move quickly, but there is always time to slow down, breathe in the moment, and enjoy the season together. Families often tell me afterward how grateful they are to have photos that feel joyful and natural instead of overly posed.
