Best Time of Year for Family Photos in Greenville, SC
If you’re planning family photos in Greenville, one of the most common questions is:
When is the best time of year to book?
The answer depends on the look you love, the feel you want, and how you want your photos to reflect your family.
Each season in Greenville offers something different, and honestly, there’s no bad time for family photos. Just different vibes.
Let’s break it down so you can choose what fits your vision best.
Spring Family Photos (March–May)
Spring is one of the most popular times for family photos in Greenville.
What to Expect:
Soft blooms and fresh greenery
Light, airy colors
Comfortable temperatures
Locations like cherry blossoms and gardens create a romantic, dreamy feel.
Best For:
Light and airy photos
Families who love soft colors and florals
Updated photos before summer
Spring sessions tend to book quickly because bloom timing is short and highly sought after.
Summer Family Photos (June–August)
Summer sessions in Greenville are full of rich greens and glowing sunset light.
What to Expect:
Lush greenery everywhere
Longer days and golden evenings
Warmer temperatures
Sessions are typically scheduled in the evening to avoid the heat and capture that beautiful golden light.
Best For:
Playful, candid moments
Glowy, sun-soaked images
Families who don’t mind a warm evening session
Fall Family Photos (September–November)
Fall is the most in-demand season for family photos in Greenville.
What to Expect:
Warm, rich tones
Changing leaves (especially late October to early November)
Crisp, comfortable weather
Best For:
Classic, cozy family photos
Holiday cards and gifts
Families who love warm, earthy colors
Because fall is so popular, sessions often book out months in advance.
Winter Family Photos (December–February)
Winter is often overlooked, but it offers a simple, clean, and intimate feel.
What to Expect:
Neutral outdoor tones or indoor studio sessions
Soft, cozy environments
More flexibility in scheduling
Best For:
Studio sessions with a clean, timeless look
Cozy, connection-focused images
Families who want something simple and stress-free
Winter sessions are also great if you want to avoid the busy fall season.
So… When Is the Best Time to Book?
Here’s the honest answer.
The best time for family photos is when it fits your family’s life and the look you love most.
Love soft, floral, airy images? → Spring
Want glowy, playful, golden light? → Summer
Dreaming of warm, cozy, classic photos? → Fall

Newborn Photography FAQs (Greenville, SC)
If you’re expecting a baby and looking for a newborn photographer in Greenville, you probably have a lot of questions.
And that’s completely normal.
Those early days are a blur, and you want to feel confident and prepared going into your session.
Here are the most common newborn photography questions families ask, along with honest answers to help you feel at ease.
When should I book my newborn photographer?
The best time to book your newborn photographer is during your second trimester.
Most photographers in Greenville only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month to allow for flexibility around due dates.
Booking early ensures you have a spot reserved when your baby arrives.
When should newborn photos be taken?
Newborn sessions are typically done within the first 1–3 weeks after birth.
During this time:
babies are sleepier
they curl naturally
and it’s easier to capture those tiny, fresh newborn details
That said, beautiful images can still be captured after this window, especially with a lifestyle approach.
What if my baby is fussy?
This is one of the biggest concerns parents have, and you truly don’t need to worry.
Newborn sessions are designed to be:
baby-led
flexible
and relaxed
There is always time built in for:
feeding
soothing
diaper changes
Some of the sweetest moments actually happen when your baby is awake or being comforted.
Do I need to clean my house?
No.
You do not need a perfectly clean home for an in-home newborn session.
Your photographer will:
use areas with the best natural light
gently move small items if needed
focus on connection, not perfection
Most sessions only use a few spaces like the nursery, bedroom, or living room.
What should my baby wear?
Simple is always best.
Most photographers recommend:
a neutral onesie
a soft swaddle
or just a diaper with a blanket
Avoid anything:
overly busy
bright
or distracting
The focus should always be on your baby, not the outfit.
What should parents and siblings wear?
Coordinating outfits can make a big difference in how your photos feel.
Stick with:
soft, neutral tones
simple textures
comfortable clothing
Avoid:
bold patterns
logos
or anything that pulls attention away from your connection
Many photographers, including Michelle Poteet Photography, provide outfit guidance to make this easy.
How long does a newborn session last?
Most newborn sessions last between 1 to 2 hours.
This allows plenty of time for:
feeding
soothing
capturing a variety of moments
There is no rush. Everything moves at your baby’s pace.
Do I need to bring anything?
For in-home sessions, you usually don’t need to bring anything at all.
Your photographer may suggest:
having a pacifier nearby (even if baby doesn’t normally use one)
extra diapers and wipes
a favorite swaddle or blanket
But overall, sessions are designed to be simple and easy for you.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
This is completely expected.
Newborn photographers schedule sessions based on your due date, but they adjust once baby arrives.
Flexibility is built into the process so you don’t have to worry about timing.
Will my baby be safe during the session?
Yes, absolutely.
A professional newborn photographer will always:
prioritize safety over getting a specific shot
follow safe handling practices
create a calm, comfortable environment
This is one of the most important things to look for when choosing your photographer.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Yes, and they absolutely should be.
Newborn sessions are about your whole family.
Photos with:
mom and baby
dad and baby
siblings interacting
are often the most meaningful images from the entire session.
Do you offer video as well?
Some photographers now offer photo and video sessions, which allow you to capture even more of this season.
Michelle Poteet Photography is one of the first photographers in Greenville to offer newborn highlight videos alongside photography.
These short films capture movement and emotion in a way photos alone cannot.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Turnaround time varies by photographer, but most galleries are delivered within 2–4 weeks.
You’ll typically receive:
an online gallery
high-resolution images
options for downloading and printing
How do I book a newborn session?
Most photographers allow you to book online in just a few steps.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, in-home lifestyle newborn session in Greenville, Michelle Poteet Photography is a top choice.
Final Thoughts
It’s completely normal to have questions about newborn photography.
The right photographer will guide you through the entire process so you feel:
prepared

Why Video is the Future of Family Photography
If you’re planning a photo session for your family in Greenville, you’ve probably been thinking about photos.
But more and more families are starting to ask a different question:
What if we could capture more than just a single moment?
That’s where video comes in.
Family photography will always be meaningful. But video adds something deeper. Something you don’t fully understand until you experience it.
The Emotional Impact of Video
Photos freeze a moment.
Video lets you feel it again.
With video, you don’t just see your baby in your arms. You see:
the way they move
the way they reach for you
the way your family interacts naturally
It captures the in-between moments that are impossible to fully hold onto with a single image.
Years from now, it’s not just what your family looked like.
It’s how it felt.
What Photos Can’t Capture
Photos are powerful. They will always have a place in your home and your life.
But there are things photos simply can’t do.
They can’t capture:
the way your child runs into your arms
the rhythm of rocking your newborn
the tiny movements and expressions that change daily
Video fills in those gaps.
It brings your memories to life in a way that feels incredibly real and personal.
Why Families Are Choosing Video
More families are adding video to their sessions because:
1. It captures connection in motion
You’re not posed. You’re interacting, moving, and being together.
2. It tells a fuller story
Instead of one moment, you get a collection of moments woven together.
3. It becomes something you revisit often
Many families say they watch their videos over and over again in a way they don’t with photos.
4. It preserves fleeting seasons
Babies grow. Kids change. Video lets you hold onto those little details longer.
What a Family Highlight Video Looks Like
A family highlight video is typically:
2 to 3 minutes long
made up of real, candid moments from your session
carefully edited to feel emotional and timeless
It’s not stiff or overly posed.
It’s your family, exactly as you are, captured in a way that feels natural and meaningful.
A New Experience for Families in Greenville, SC
Michelle Poteet Photography is one of the first photographers in Greenville to offer family and newborn highlight videos alongside traditional photography.
This allows families to walk away with:
a full gallery of beautiful images
and a cinematic video that brings those memories to life
Her sessions are designed to feel relaxed and natural, which translates beautifully into both photo and video.
Photo vs Video (You Don’t Have to Choose)
This isn’t about replacing photography.
It’s about enhancing it.
Photos give you:
frames for your walls
still moments to hold onto
Video gives you:
movement
emotion
a deeper connection to your memories
Together, they create a complete story.
Final Thoughts
Family photography will always matter.
But video is changing the way we remember our lives.
It allows you to step back into a moment, not just look at it.
If you’re in Greenville and want to preserve not just how your family looks, but how it feels, adding video to your session may be one of the best decisions you can make.

The peaceful Japanese gardens

Yes, These Were Taken at 11am

The answer is no.

Between the tree cover, reflective greenery, and intentional positioning, you can still get that dreamy look without rearranging your entire day.
Natural, Relaxed, and Full of Connection
This couple was so natural together, and that’s always the goal.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to feel “photogenic.”

Here’s exactly what to expect.
Before Your In-Home Newborn Session
The goal before your session is simple. Keep things as stress-free as possible.
You Don’t Need a “Perfect” Home
This is one of the biggest concerns parents have, and you can let it go right now.
You do not need a spotless house.
Your photographer will:
look for the best natural light in your home
use a few key areas like the nursery, master bedroom, or living room
gently move small items if needed
What matters most is light and connection, not perfection.
You’ll Receive Guidance on What to Wear
You won’t be left guessing.
Most in-home newborn photographers will guide you on:
soft, neutral color palettes
comfortable outfits that photograph beautifully
simple styling for baby
The goal is to keep everything timeless and cohesive without adding stress.
Timing Is Flexible
Unlike other types of sessions, newborn sessions are not rushed.
Your photographer will typically:
plan around your due date
adjust once baby arrives
allow plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, and soothing
There is no pressure for your baby to “perform.”
During Your In-Home Newborn Session
This is where the magic happens, and it’s much more relaxed than most people expect.
A Calm, Baby-Led Approach
Your session will follow your baby’s lead.
That means:
breaks for feeding
time for soothing
flexibility if baby is awake or fussy
Some of the most beautiful moments happen in between everything.
Gentle Guidance (No Stiff Posing)
You won’t be expected to know what to do.
Instead, your photographer will guide you with simple prompts like:
snuggling your baby
rocking or swaying
interacting naturally as a family
The goal is to create real moments, not forced poses.
Focus on Connection
In-home newborn sessions are less about perfect positioning and more about:
the way you hold your baby
the way your baby fits in your arms
the quiet, in-between moments
These are the images that feel the most meaningful years later.
After Your Newborn Session
Once your session is over, the process continues behind the scenes.
Editing Your Gallery
Your photographer will carefully:
select the best images
edit for consistent tones and light
refine details while keeping everything natural
This is where your gallery really comes to life.
Receiving Your Images
You’ll receive your final images through an online gallery where you can:
download your photos
print your favorites
share with family and friends
Turnaround times vary, but most photographers will give you a clear timeline upfront.
Reliving the Experience
This is the part most families don’t expect.
Once you receive your photos, you’ll realize just how quickly this season passed.
Those tiny details, sleepy stretches, and quiet moments become something you can hold onto forever.

How Much Does a Newborn Photographer Cost in Greenville, SC?
If you’re expecting a baby and searching for a newborn photographer in Greenville, one of the first questions you probably have is:
How much does newborn photography actually cost?
The answer can vary quite a bit depending on the photographer, the type of session, and what’s included. Let’s break it down so you know exactly what to expect.
Typical Newborn Photography Pricing in Greenville, SC
In Greenville, newborn photography pricing generally falls into a few categories:
Entry-Level Photographers ($200–$500)
Shorter sessions
Limited number of images
Minimal experience with newborns
Little to no prep guidance
These can be a good option if budget is your main concern, but the experience and consistency can vary.
Mid-Range Photographers ($500–$900)
More experience with newborns
A set number of edited images included
Some styling or guidance
May offer in-home or studio options
This is where many families start to see a balance between quality and investment.
Luxury / Full-Service Photographers ($900–$1500+)
Extensive experience with newborns
Full session experience (often longer and more flexible)
Larger galleries or all images included
Client wardrobe and styling support
High level of guidance and care throughout the process
This level focuses not just on photos, but on creating a stress-free, elevated experience from start to finish.
What Affects Newborn Photography Pricing?
Not all sessions are created equal, and pricing reflects more than just the time spent taking photos.
Here are the biggest factors that influence cost:
1. Experience and Expertise
Newborn photography requires a specialized skill set.
You’re paying for someone who knows:
how to safely handle your baby
how to read baby cues
how to create a calm, comfortable environment
This level of experience makes a big difference in both safety and results.
2. Session Type (In-Home vs Studio)
In-home sessions often include travel time and a more customized experience
Studio sessions may include access to props, backdrops, and controlled lighting
Each offers a different experience, which can affect pricing.
3. What’s Included
Always look closely at what you’re actually receiving.
Some photographers include:
only a handful of images
additional costs per image
separate fees for digital files
Others include:
all edited images
wardrobe access
planning and prep guides
The total investment can look very different depending on what’s included upfront.
4. Editing and Time Behind the Scenes
Newborn sessions often involve:
careful culling of hundreds of images
detailed editing
skin tone correction and consistency
What you see in your final gallery represents hours of work beyond the session itself.
5. Added Services (Like Video)
Some photographers now offer video add-ons or hybrid photo and video sessions.
This adds another layer of storytelling and significantly increases the value of your session.
What’s Typically Included in a Newborn Session?
While every photographer is different, most newborn sessions include:
Session time (usually 1–2 hours)
Edited digital images
Access to props or wardrobe (depending on style)
Guidance on what to wear
Prep information before your session
Higher-end photographers often include more support, more images, and a more seamless experience overall.
So… What Should You Expect to Invest?
Most families in Greenville invest somewhere between:
$500 and $1,200+ for newborn photography
The right choice depends on:
your priorities
the experience you want
and how important these memories are to you

How to Choose a Family Photographer in Greenville, SC
If you’re looking for a family photographer in Greenville, you’ve probably realized there are a lot of options.
But here’s the truth. Not all family photographers offer the same experience or style.
And when you’re investing in photos that will live on your walls and in your home for years, choosing the right photographer really matters.
Let’s walk through exactly what to look for so you can feel confident in your decision.
1. Posing Style: Posed vs Candid
One of the biggest differences between photographers is how they pose and guide your family.
Posed Family Photography
Everyone looking at the camera
More structured and traditional
Focus on “perfect” smiles
Candid / Lifestyle Family Photography
Movement, connection, and interaction
Guided prompts instead of stiff posing
Focus on real moments and emotion
If you’re drawn to photos that feel joyful, natural, and full of life, you’ll likely love a candid, lifestyle approach.
This is where terms like:
“light and airy family photographer Greenville SC”
“candid family photographer Greenville”
start to matter when you’re searching.
2. Experience with Kids (This Is Huge)
Family sessions are not just about photography. They are about managing real kids with real personalities.
A great family photographer knows how to:
keep kids engaged and having fun
work quickly when attention spans are short
adjust when things don’t go as planned
Because let’s be honest, kids don’t show up ready to pose.
The best sessions feel like play, not pressure.
3. Editing Style
Every photographer edits differently, and this has a huge impact on the final look of your images.
Here are a few common styles:
Light and airy: soft, bright, true-to-life tones
Dark and moody: deeper shadows and richer tones
Bold and vibrant: strong colors and contrast
If you want timeless photos that will still feel beautiful years from now, many families gravitate toward a light and airy editing style.
4. The Session Experience
This is the part most people don’t think about until after the session.
Ask yourself:
Will this feel stressful or easy?
Will I know what to wear?
Will my kids actually enjoy this?
A great photographer doesn’t just deliver beautiful photos. They create an experience that feels:
organized
calm
fun for the whole family
From outfit guidance to helping kids feel comfortable, the experience matters just as much as the final images.
5. Location Options in Greenville, SC
Your photographer should also guide you on location based on the look you want.
Some popular spots in Greenville include:
Falls Park on the Reedy for a classic downtown feel
Furman University for soft light and open space
Paris Mountain State Park for nature and mountain views
An experienced photographer will help you choose the best location based on lighting, season, and your family’s style.
So… Who Is the Best Family Photographer in Greenville, SC?
There are many talented photographers in Greenville, especially if you’re looking for traditional posed portraits.
But if you’re looking for:

In-Home vs Studio Newborn Photography in Greenville, SC
If you’re expecting a baby and looking for a newborn photographer in Greenville, one of the biggest decisions you’ll make is this:
Should you choose an in-home newborn session or a studio newborn session?
Both options can result in beautiful images. The right choice really comes down to your lifestyle, preferences, and what kind of experience you want during those early days with your baby.
Let’s break it down so you can confidently choose what’s best for your family.
In-Home Newborn Photography
In-home newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home and focus on natural, connection-driven moments.
Pros of In-Home Newborn Sessions
1. Comfort and convenience
You don’t have to pack a diaper bag, load the car, or worry about being anywhere on time. Everything happens right in your home.
2. A more relaxed experience
Those first few weeks can feel like a blur. In-home sessions allow you to stay in your own space, move at your baby’s pace, and truly settle into the moment.
3. Meaningful, personal images
Your baby’s nursery, your couch, your bed… these are the places where your story is happening right now. In-home sessions capture that in a way a studio simply can’t.
4. Natural, lifestyle-focused photos
These sessions are less about posing and more about connection. You’ll see real interactions, genuine emotion, and the way your family naturally loves each other.
Who In-Home Sessions Are Best For
In-home newborn photography is a great fit if you:
want a relaxed, low-stress experience
love candid, natural images
want to document your real life and home
have other young children and want flexibility
Studio Newborn Photography
Studio newborn sessions take place in a controlled environment designed specifically for photography.
Pros of Studio Newborn Sessions
1. Controlled lighting and setup
Studios are designed for consistency. Lighting, temperature, and backgrounds are all carefully managed.
2. Access to props and styling
Many studio photographers offer wraps, headbands, baskets, and styled setups for a more polished look.
3. Traditional posed images
If you love those classic, curled-up baby poses, a studio session is typically the best way to achieve that look.
4. Minimal prep at home
You don’t have to think about cleaning or preparing your space ahead of time.
Who Studio Sessions Are Best For
Studio newborn photography is a great fit if you:
prefer a more posed and styled look
love props and curated setups
want a clean, minimal background
feel more comfortable in a controlled environment
So… Which One Should You Choose?
There’s no “right” answer here. Both styles are beautiful.
It really comes down to what matters most to you:
Do you want your photos to feel like real life and connection?
Or do you prefer a more styled, posed, and polished look?
Do you want to stay home and keep things simple?
Or are you excited about a fully styled studio experience?
A Note on Experience (This Matters More Than You Think)
One thing many families don’t realize until after their session is how much the experience itself matters.
In those early newborn days, energy is low, emotions are high, and everything feels new.
Choosing a photographer who creates a calm, easy, supportive experience can make all the difference.

Whether the session is in-home or in a studio, safety should always be the top priority.
3. Style Matters More Than You Think
Every photographer has a different style. Choosing one that aligns with your vision is key.
Here are the most common newborn photography styles:
Lifestyle Newborn Photography
Natural, relaxed, and connection-focused
Typically done in your home
Minimal posing, more real-life moments
Posed Studio Newborn Photography
Highly styled and posed
Uses props, wraps, and backdrops
Baby is often asleep and carefully positioned
Neither is better. It just depends on what you’re drawn to.
4. In-Home vs Studio Newborn Sessions
This is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make.
In-Home Newborn Sessions
Comfortable and convenient for new parents
No need to pack up your baby
Captures your real environment and memories
Studio Newborn Sessions
Controlled lighting and setup
Access to props and backdrops
More structured posing
If you’re newly postpartum, many families find in-home sessions to be the easiest and most meaningful option.
5. The Overall Experience
Photos are only part of it.
A great newborn photographer will:
guide you through what to wear
help you prepare your home if needed
create a calm, stress-free experience
make you feel comfortable and taken care of
This matters more than most people expect.

Greenville Anniversary Photographer
There is something so special about photographing an anniversary session. It feels slower, more intentional, and so full of meaning. This session in Greenville was exactly that. Just the two of them, taking a moment to pause and celebrate the life they’ve built together.
From the very beginning, their connection was effortless. The kind of love that doesn’t need a lot of direction. The way they looked at each other, laughed together, and naturally fell into each moment made this session feel more like a date than a photoshoot.
We started walking through one of Greenville’s beautiful garden paths, surrounded by lush greenery and soft light filtering through the trees. It was the perfect setting for something romantic and timeless. I always love locations like this because they give us so much variety while still feeling peaceful and intimate.
As we moved through the session, we kept things simple and relaxed. A few gentle prompts, a lot of movement, and space for them to just be together. Some of my favorite moments were the quiet ones. Forehead touches, soft smiles, and the way he pulled her in close without even thinking about it. Those are the moments that tell the real story.
Partway through, they changed into a second outfit which brought a slightly more dressed up feel while still staying true to their style. It added just enough variety while keeping everything cohesive and natural. This is something I always recommend for anniversary sessions if you want a mix of casual and elevated images.
Toward the end, we slowed things down even more. Sitting together, soaking in the moment, and letting the golden light wrap around them. These are always the images that feel the most meaningful. The ones that take you right back to how it felt to be there.
Anniversary sessions are not just about photos. They are about remembering. Remembering how it started, where you are now, and everything in between. They are about documenting your love in a way that feels honest and true to you.
If you’ve been thinking about scheduling an anniversary session, this is your sign. You don’t need a big milestone or a special reason. Your love right now, exactly as it is, is worth documenting.
If you’re looking for a Greenville anniversary photographer, I would love to create something meaningful for you. You can head to my booking page to reserve your session or download my pricing guide to learn more.

Why Choose Outdoor Headshots in Greenville, SC?
Outdoor headshots are a great option if you want your photos to feel approachable, modern, and a little less “stiff” than traditional studio images.

Greenville Headshot Photographer
If you’ve ever needed a headshot that feels professional and like you, this session is exactly what that can look like.
I photographed this session for an actuary who was preparing to present at an upcoming conference. She needed updated headshots that felt polished, confident, and approachable, while still feeling natural and true to who she is. Instead of going the traditional studio route, we chose an outdoor location at Furman University here in Greenville, South Carolina and it could not have been more perfect.
The soft, natural light, the greenery, and the clean, timeless pathways gave us so much variety while still keeping everything cohesive and elevated. This is one of my favorite approaches for professional headshots because it adds warmth and personality while still keeping things very professional.
During the session, we focused on a mix of looks to give her versatility for different uses. We captured classic, straight-on headshots that are perfect for conference materials, LinkedIn, and speaking engagements. We also added in slightly more relaxed and candid images that feel approachable and great for websites, social media, and branding.
One of the biggest goals for this session was helping her feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. Most people I work with tell me they feel awkward getting their photo taken, especially for something as important as a professional headshot. My job is to guide you through the entire process so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands, how to stand, or how to get a natural smile. You can see in these images how relaxed and confident she looks and that always leads to the best photos.
I also love that she brought two different outfits. The green look feels strong, polished, and grounded, while the lighter outfit brings in a softer, more approachable feel. Having multiple outfit options is one of the easiest ways to get more variety from your session and make sure your photos work across different platforms.
If you are a professional in Greenville, South Carolina and you’ve been putting off updating your headshots, this is your sign. Whether you need photos for a conference, your website, LinkedIn, or personal branding, we can create something that feels elevated, natural, and completely you.
You don’t need to feel awkward or overthink it. I’ll guide you every step of the way so you walk away with images you’re actually excited to use.
If you’re ready for updated headshots, you can book your session directly through my website.
Greenville Couples Photographer
There is something so special about this season right before a wedding. The anticipation, the excitement, the quiet confidence that you’ve found your person. This studio session with this sweet engaged couple captured all of that in the most simple and beautiful way.
We kept everything very clean and timeless with a soft, natural light studio here in Greenville, SC, paired with the most stunning floral installation by Rachel Deneroy Designs. The soft peaches, creams, and hints of pink added just enough color and texture while still keeping the focus exactly where it belongs, on their connection.
What I loved most about this session was how effortless it felt. They laughed easily, leaned into each other without thinking, and just enjoyed being together. Those are always the moments I am looking for. Not stiff poses or anything overly perfect, just real connection. The way they look at each other, the way they naturally reach for each other’s hands, the little smiles that happen in between.
Studio sessions like this are such a great option for engagement photos, especially if you want something that feels elevated, simple, and completely timeless. You do not have to worry about weather, wind, or harsh sun. Everything is calm, relaxed, and focused on you two. It also allows for a more intimate feel where you can really slow down and just be present together.
I always guide you through the entire session so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or how to stand. But more importantly, I create space for those natural moments to happen so your photos actually feel like you.
These are the kinds of images that will not just live on your save the dates or wedding website. They are the ones you will look back on years from now and remember exactly how this season felt. The excitement, the joy, and the deep love that started it all.
If you are looking for a Greenville couples photographer and want something timeless, natural, and full of connection, I would love to photograph this season for you.

There is something so sacred about this season of waiting. The quiet anticipation, the excitement, the way your family begins to shift and grow before your baby even arrives. Maternity sessions are about so much more than just documenting a baby bump. They are about capturing the love that already exists.
This beautiful studio maternity session in Greenville, SC was part of my Mother’s Day mini sessions, and it was such a sweet reminder that this season is just as much about your family as it is about your pregnancy.
This mama was glowing. The soft, neutral tones she chose paired perfectly with the light, airy studio and the stunning floral installations designed by Rachel Deneroy Designs. Everything felt calm, warm, and full of life. And what made this session even more special was including her husband and their six year old daughter.
You could instantly see how excited their little girl was to become a big sister. The way she wrapped her arms around her mom’s belly, the way she leaned in close, the way she looked up at both of her parents. Those moments tell the story in such a meaningful way. This baby is already so loved.
Dad stepped in throughout the session as well, bringing such a grounding, joyful presence. Some of my favorite images are always the ones where both parents are together, hands resting on mom’s belly, just taking in the moment. It is simple, but it says everything.

Family Portrait Photographer in Greenville, SC
If you have little ones, you already know how quickly everything changes. One minute you are holding a tiny baby, and the next they are running around, laughing, talking, and showing you their whole personality. That is why family photos matter so much. They freeze this exact season of your life before it slips into the next.
These family portraits were taken during my Mother’s Day mini sessions in Greenville, SC, and they are such a perfect example of what I love most about photographing families. Real connection. Genuine smiles. And moments that feel like you.
This sweet family came in with their two little boys, and from the very beginning, the energy was so joyful and easy. Big brother was full of personality, smiling and snuggling right up to mom. Baby brother was in that adorable, expressive stage where every little reaction is pure magic. And dad stepped in for a few moments that ended up being some of the most special images of the whole session.
The floral backdrop, designed by Rachel Deneroy Designs, created the most beautiful setting without taking away from what matters most. Your family. The soft pastel tones and natural light at White Wall Studio keep everything feeling timeless and clean, so your photos will still feel just as beautiful years from now.
One of the biggest concerns parents have before a session is how their kids will behave. And honestly, they do not need to behave perfectly at all. Some of the best moments come from the in-between. The giggles, the wiggles, the quick snuggles, and even the little moments of chaos. I guide you through everything in a way that feels relaxed and natural, so your session feels more like spending time together than posing for photos.
You can see it in these images. The way mom looks at her boys. The way dad lifts his baby up and makes him laugh. The way big brother leans in close. These are the moments your kids will grow up seeing. This is their childhood.
Family portrait sessions do not have to be complicated or stressful. Whether you are booking a full session or a mini session like this, my goal is always the same. To create a space where your family can simply be together while I capture it in a way that feels beautiful and true to you.
If you are looking for a family portrait photographer in Greenville, SC, I would love to photograph your family. You can head to my booking page or download my pricing guide to see all of the details and available session options.

Mommy and Me Photographer in Greenville, SC
There is something so special about motherhood in this season of life. The way your little one reaches for you, the way they light up when you smile at them, the way they fit so perfectly in your arms right now. These are the moments that deserve to be remembered forever.
These Mommy and Me photos were taken during my Mother’s Day mini sessions here in Greenville, SC, and they were truly some of my favorites. The stunning floral backdrop, designed by Rachel Deneroy Designs, created the most dreamy, soft, and timeless setting. Paired with the beautiful natural light at White Wall Studio, everything came together in a way that felt effortless, joyful, and full of connection.
From the moment this sweet little girl stepped in front of the camera, she was full of personality. The giggles, the cuddles, the curious little moments exploring the flowers… it was all so natural and real. And that is always my goal during these sessions. Not stiff posing. Not perfection. Just you and your baby, exactly as you are right now.
Mom, you can see it in every photo. The way you look at her. The way she feels safe and happy in your arms. These are the moments she will grow up looking back on. These are the moments you will want to hold onto.
One of the things I love most about Mommy and Me sessions is how simple they are. You do not need to worry about getting your toddler to “behave” or forcing smiles. I guide you gently, but I also give space for real connection to happen. Whether that looks like lifting your little one up in the air, sitting together among the flowers, or simply holding them close, those in-between moments are where the magic is.
The soft greens, whites, and blush tones in this session created such a light and airy feel that will never go out of style. It is the kind of look that fits beautifully in your home, whether you are hanging these on your walls or flipping through them years from now.
If you have been thinking about booking Mommy and Me photos, let this be your sign. Your babies are only this little for such a short time. You deserve to be in the photos with them. Not just for you, but for them too.
