MPP Location Guide

Hey Sweet Mama!

Welcome to the Michelle Poteet Photography location guide! This guide is for all of my clients and is filled with my absolute best suggestions for locations in the Greenville, South Carolina area!

I've spent a ton of time traveling all around the city finding the best spots for you! I base these suggestions on beautiful backgrounds, pretty lighting, and the versatility of the location as well as the ease of access for families.

Don't see what you're looking for? Need more suggestions? Send me an email! I would be happy to do some more location scouting for you to find exactly what you're looking for!

Furman University

My absolute favorite spot in the Greenville area is Furman University. There are so many great spots to choose from all within walking distance, which helps to add so much variety to your gallery. there is the view of the lake and Paris Mountain, the rose garden, the bell tower, open fields, and woodsy views!

Paris Mountain

Paris Mountain is a beautiful woodsy area in Taylors with a lake, a dam, and even a little beach. This is a great spot for families who love hiking together or just love a good tree background. It's especially beautiful in the fall! There is a $5 per person entrance fee if you don't have a state park pass.

Falls Park

Falls Park in downtown Greenville is a classic spot for photos that really shows off the beauty of Greenville! This is another spot with SO much variety, from the main falls, to the smaller falls pictured below, to the bridge, to all of the pretty green areas. There is a lot of walking involved and parking may be difficult during events or peak times and season. This location is beautiful but it may not be the best fit for families with small children, elderly individuals, or people with mobility issues.

Conestee Nature Preserve

Conestee is perfect for nature lovers. It’s the best tall grass open field spot that I’ve found in the Greenville area. It’s especially beautiful around sunset or sunrise, and it’s not usually very crowded. This field is about a 5 minute walk from the parking lot.

Cleveland Park

Cleveland Park is a beautiful, open green area close to the zoo downtown. It's a quieter park of the swamp rabbit trail on the river. It has close, free parking, so this spot works really well for young families and those who love a simple, greenery background.

Legacy Park

Legacy Park is a beautiful, open green area in Greenville. It has free parking and works well for young families and those who prefer simple backgrounds.

Downtown Rose Garden

This beautiful rose garden is located right in downtown Greenville! I haven’t had the opportunity to use it for a session yet, but I would love for you to be the first! This location can be combined with another downtown location like Rock Quarry Garden or Falls Park. There is free parking right next to the garden, making it a great option for families with young kids.

Your Home

In home sessions are a personal favorite of mine! There is something so special about taking your family photos in your own space, capturing your daily family life.

Taylors Home Studio

This studio is a home located in Taylors. It’s perfect if you love the look of in home photos but you don’t want to worry about getting your home clean enough for photos. The cost is $75 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.

White Wall Studios

This studio is located in Taylors, SC. It is a beautiful natural light studio. The studio is a long walk from the parking lot, but it is wheel chair and stroller accessible. The studio comes with furniture and props. The cost starts at $110 for an hour, but gets cheaper per hour when you book more time.
