There is something so sweet about photographing a newborn session in the place where your family is already learning each other. This in-home newborn session in Greenville, SC was full of soft light, tender sibling moments, and the kind of everyday details you never want to forget.
Baby Alexandra was five weeks old for her session, which is such a beautiful age for newborn photos. She was alert, snuggly, expressive, and wonderfully squishy. She was also one of the biggest babies I have ever photographed, and it took two swaddles to wrap her up just right.

For Alexandra’s session, we photographed in her nursery, by the window, on the bed, near the fireplace, and outside for a few simple portraits with dad. Her nursery had the sweetest details, including a soft quilt, a wooden dresser, a white rocker, and a little bunny tucked into the room.
Mom wore a cream dress from my client closet, which kept the whole gallery feeling soft, timeless, and effortless.

Even though this was a newborn session, it also captured a huge milestone for the whole family. Alexandra’s three-year-old brother was so sweet with her. He leaned in close, checked on her, and brought so much personality to the morning.
With toddlers, I always keep the session flexible. We make space for movement, cuddles, silly moments, and quick breaks. The goal is not stiff perfection. The goal is to photograph your family exactly as you are in this season.
