Greenville Family Photographer
This morning, I had SO much fun photographing the Lapresi Family! With a one year old and two dogs, there was a lot of chaos - in all the best ways! This may be an unpopular photography opinion, but I absolutely LOVE getting to photograph toddlers! They are so joyful and just want to have fun! Those are qualities that make family photos amazing and full of raw emotion! They are always so entertaining, and I absolutely love the thrill and the challenge of finding what makes them laugh and smiling, figuring out the best ways to entertain and get reactions out of them, and getting those amazing shots during the few seconds I have before they try to run off. Seriously - I love toddlers!
We met at the Furman Rose garden - one of my all time favorite locations! The morning light was stunning this morning, and luckily it wasn't too hot. Although he did get a little sweaty chasing around a one year old and two dogs. We also used a woodsy location on campus that I haven't gotten to use in a session yet. I always love getting to explore new spots at my old favorite locations.
I am absolutely in love with this session. Check out just a few of my favorite photos below! I hope you love them just as much as I do!

In-home first birthday photos in Greenville, SC
It means the world to me when families keep coming back to me to capture all of their babies' milestones. I love getting to watch families grow throughout the years. It's so nice for the families, too, because the kids get more and more comfortable with me and being in front of my camera the more I get to photograph them and the more family photo sessions that we get to do together. Getting to capture these precious memories for sweet families is such an honor. It's families like these that make me absolutely love my job.
I got to photograph Amanda, Mitch, and Mason for the second time last weekend. Our first session together was for Amanda's first mother's day. And this past session together was for Mason's first birthday. First birthday's are a big deal in the Korean culture, and it was such an honor to be a part of. First, we captured some family photos of the three of them with Mason dressed in his hanbok. Then, we did a cake smash. Mason was so sweet and kept offering cake to his mom and dad. Then after he was all messy and blue from the icing, he wanted to give his mom and dad lots of hugs. It was adorable!
Enjoy just a few of my favorite photos from Mason's first birthday family photo session! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Greer, SC Family Photographer
This morning, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing The Rusher's first professional family photos as a family of three! It is always such a huge honor for me to get to take the very first set of family photos for a new little family. We took these photos at my absolute favorite location in the Greenville area, Furman University. We started in the rose garden, which is so beautiful this time of year, and we ended on the Lake Loop trail with the tall grass and the beautiful view of Paris Mountain.
One thing that is so important to me as a family photographer is that you walk away from your family photo session with more than just beautiful family photos to cherish and hang on your walls. You walk away with sweet, REAL family memories to cherish forever. I like to get to know the families that I photograph before their family photo session by sending a little questionnaire to learn about them and the personalities of each of their kids. I use this information to tailor my family session specifically to each family. I know what makes the kids laugh. I know what games and activities the family will enjoy. This helps each member of the family feel special and involved in the session. I want EVERYONE to have fun while we take your photos!
I hope you enjoy a few favorites of my session this morning with Arianna, Austin, and little Roman!

Family Photos at Cleveland Park in Downtown Greenville, SC
I absolutely LOVED getting to photograph Mary, Hunter, and little Rylee again! The last time I got to have this adorable little family in front of my camera, Rylee was still in Mary's belly! That maternity session was so fun for me, because Mary was due with Rylee right around the same time I was due with Lily. So, of course, it was so fun to get to finally meet baby Rylee after getting to document Mary's pregnancy with her. I'm so thankful for returning clients, because it is just so special to me to get to watch and document these families continue to grow year after year.
Mary and Hunter close Cleveland Park in downtown Greenville, SC for their family photos. We chose a morning session, which is perfect during the summer to avoid the heat of the day. And it is usually a great time of day for babies. I love the trees, the tall grass, and the morning light. I have a spot that I love to use that is nice and quiet, so the little ones don't get too distracted, and it always works out perfectly. I also love that it has close, free parking.
I can't believe that Rylee is almost one whole year old! It was such a joy to capture such special moments for this sweet family. Enjoy just a few of my favorite photos from this family photo session below!

Greenville, SC Baby Photographer
This past week, Mark, Lily and I went to visit our families for Memorial Day weekend. I always love to try to take a few photos for our family members when we visit. I especially love getting to photograph my sister-in-law, Hannah's, family. If you remember my post about mine and Mark's love story, you'll know that Hannah is one of my best friends from college. Through her, I became friends with her brother Mark and we ended up dating 8 years after we met! Now we are married and my best friend became my sister in law. And then to make it even more special, we got pregnant right at the same time (not on purpose). Our babies were due only 6 days apart. Henry came early, so he was born about 3 weeks before Lily was. It's been so fun to have babies the same age and have someone in the exact same stage if parenting as you!
We had a few minutes free the morning that we were leaving to go back home, so we used the opportunity to take some cute mommy and me photos of Hannah and Henry. We just stepped out into Hannah's front yard and we had some beautiful lighting since it was only about 2 hours after sunrise. I love the fun relationship that Hannah has with Henry. It was been so fun getting to watch her become a mom. And I love getting to capture that special relationship whenever I can.
I hope you love these photos as much as I do!

Biltmore Family Photographer
Usually, I'm the one behind the camera taking beautiful photos of families in stunning locations. But this past weekend, I got to switch things up and get in front of the camera with my own little family! This was our first time getting our family photos taken by another photographer! I took Lily's newborn photos, and I handed my camera to a family member to take some of the three of us together when she was a few weeks old. Other than that, it's mainly been me taking photos of Mark and Lily and Mark taking photos of me and Lily with a few tripod photos of the three of us mixed in.
As I'm sure you can understand, I'm so picky when it comes to choosing a photographer for my own family photos. After searching all over Asheville and Greenville, I found a photographer I absolutely LOVE, Rachel Marie Photography. I love how her work is light, but not overexposed and the perfect mixture of posed and candid photos. That can be so hard to find! I was so thankful that she was willing to shoot these for us and let me edit them myself.
We just bought annual passes to the Biltmore, and we couldn't think of a better place to take our photos! There are so many beautiful spots on the Biltmore grounds for family photos, but my personal favorite is the mountain views on the side of the Biltmore house.
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from my own family session!

Taylors, South Carolina Family Photographer
I had so much fun photographing these three last night! They were in town from California, visiting family, and they decided last minute that they wanted to add a family photo session on to their trip! When Ada reached out to me a few days ago, I was so glad I was able to squeeze them into my photo session schedule last minute! These three were seriously the sweetest and it was such a pleasure to work with them and get to have them in front of my camera!
Ada trusted me on the location, completely, so we used my absolutely favorite location, Furman University. We are so lucky to have one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country right here in our city! We got the most beautiful sunset last night, which was the perfect way to end our session! I'm always so happen when a family is open to doing a golden hour session! We walking around the lake and used the beautiful view of Paris Mountain, the gorgeous field with tall grass, the stunning rose garden, and then we ended with the view of the lake right in the middle of campus.
Here are a few of my favorite photos of Steve, Ada, and Raelynn! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! If you're interested in booking your own family photos, please reach out to me over on my contact page!

Travelers Rest, South Carolina Family Photographer
I prefer family photos that are candid, fun, and authentic over stiff, boring, and posed. My goal is for every member of the family to leave their family photo session feeling like they got to have fun and be themselves. And that even includes dad! (Almost all of the dads tell me at the end of the session that they were surprised at how much fun they had!) One of my favorite things about family photos is that they'll never be "perfect." But if they were, they wouldn't represent what your family life really looks like. Life with young kids can be messy and chaotic but it is also so beautiful, joyful, and FUN.
The Hollingsworth family photos are the perfect example of the types of sessions I love. They have little kids who just want to have fun, not smile at the camera for an hour. And, of course, I make sure to get those important photos of everyone smiling and looking at the camera. But I also come prepared with fun games and activities to make sure little ones enjoy the session and these activities double as a way to create fun, authentic family memories for me to capture the essence of your family!
Here are a few of my favorite photos of Matt, Allison, Elenor, and Levi! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! If you're interested in booking your own family photos, please reach out to me over on my contact page!

Greenville, SC milestone photographer
Little Margaret is almost one year old! In order to celebrate, her mom, Jenn wanted to do a milk bath photo shoot! As much as I love the typical cake smash photo session, it's always so fun when a family wants to do something a little more unique. One of my favorite things about this session is that Margaret's older sister did the same mill bath photoshoot for her one year photos as well! I think it's so fun to be able to see the photos of each baby side by side when they were a year old!
We took these photos at Henderson Meadow at Conestee Nature Preserve. It was my first time in this location, and it's beautiful! It's a huge field with lots of tall grass and walking paths. There's even a sitting area with string lights. We started out this photo session with Margaret is a pretty white dress. Jenn had an adorable little flower crown for baby Margaret as well. Unfortunately Margaret was not a huge fan of the flower crown but we got as many photos with it on as we could. Then we switched to the milk bath photos. Margaret wasn't so sure but she ended up having fun splashing around!
Here are a few of my favorite photos of little Margaret's milk bath one year photos! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! If you're interested in booking your own family or baby milestone photos, please reach out to me over on my contact page!

Furman Rose Garden Mother's Day Photos
It was a beautiful, foggy morning this morning in the Furman Rose Garden during my mother's day photo session with Amanda, Mitch, and their 9 month old son, Mason. It was such a unique look that I don't usually get to see at Furman. We couldn't even see the mountains from the lake view like we usually do. But I think it made for some stunning family portraits. The Furman University Rose garden is in full bloom right now and it's the absolute perfect spot for family photos. Since we were there so early this morning, we had the whole garden to ourselves, which is so unusual! It can get super packed at sunset time.
Whenever I'm photographing a family is a location I use a lot, I try to find new ways to be creative and do things I've never done before. I don't usually have the space in the rose garden to take sitting photos amongst all the flowers, so I was so excited that Amanda and Mitch trusted me to capture beautiful sitting photos of them. We also used a really pretty tall grass field spot that I like on the other side of the lake, and I love how cool the fog looks in those photos at the end of the session.
Here are a few of my favorite photos of Amanda, Mitch, and Mason for Mother's Day weekend! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! If you're interested in booking your own family photos, please reach out to me over on my contact page!

Greenville Mother's Day Photos
Ashley and Hudson's mommy and me photos today almost got rained out! When we woke up in the morning, the forecast called for severe thunderstorms right during our session time! Normally, I would offer to reschedule, but I knew that Ashley really wanted her photos back in time for mother's day, so I wanted to try to find a way to make today work if at all possible. I always offer to shoot in the rain with clear umbrellas, but I totally understand that it's not necessarily the aesthetic that everyone is looking for. Luckily, we were all able to meet earlier in the day to avoid the storms!
BUT that meant that our session was during Hudson's normal nap time. So I had to pull out all the stops to make sure he had as much fun as possible. My family sessions are all about fun for the whole family (even dad). That means finding fun games, creating candid moments with activities families love to do together, and sometimes even bribing. I let Hudson take a few photos of his mom and dad with my camera! He loved that!
I love how many fun candid photos we were able to capture during this session!

Greenville, SC in home lifestyle photographer
In home family photos aren't just for newborn sessions! Family photos in your own space, whether in your house or on your property are so special in my opinion, because I get to document your family's day to day life and capture what this moment in time and this phase of your life really looks like. You get to remember what it was like to hang out with your baby in his nursery, to dance with your husband in the kitchen, to go for walks outside on your property, or to hang out and cuddle on the couch as a family. I absolutely love being an in home lifestyle family photographer here in Greenville, SC.
I absolutely loved these family photos that I got to take of Mandy, Greg, and Tripp at their home and around their property here in Greenville, South Carolina. Their dog, Hank, got to join in on the family fun, too! We used most of the house for these photos from the living room to the nursery, to the kitchen, to the backyard, to the front yard! I loved getting to document all of the ways this family loves to spend time together!

Furman Rose Garden Maternity Photos
Wow! This weekend was full of so many absolutely stunning family photo sessions! Last night. for my last photo session of the weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Dani, Jerry, and Ryles. This was Dani’s maternity photo session for her second son, a baby boy named Brody. Dani trusted my judgment on a location, and we used my absolute favorite location, Furman University. The golden hour lighting was so beautiful last night in the Furman Rose garden, where we started out our session. And then, we ended our session by walking along the lake loop trail. There’s a spot I love with tall grass and a beautiful view of Paris Mountain. I LOVE when my clients trust me to find the absolute best spots for their family photos!
Ryles was the star of the show during this session. I love how much he loved having his photo taken! He is so sweet and loves to love on his mom and dad, which made for the cutest candid snuggly photos. I also let his take a few fun ones, which are just so adorable. And, of course, Dani was absolutely stunning! This family is so excited to add another little one and become a family of four! Ryles is so excited to be a big brother!
Check out a few of my favorite photos from Dani’s maternity session and family photo session at Furman university below! I hope you love the photos from this session as much as I do!

Travelers Rest, South Carolina Family Photographer
Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest family photo session for a brand new little family. Michael, Katie, and little Emma absolutely rocked their family photos. Baby Emma is only 3 months old, but she LOVED the camera! I don’t think I’ve ever had a baby this young looking at my camera as much as Emma did. It made for such cute photos!
We ended up with a super cloudy day. It’s been so rainy here in Travelers Rest, South Carolina lately. But I still just love the way this session turned out. This little family chose Furman University’s campus for their family photos. Furman is definitely one of my favorite spots because of its versatility. It has a super pretty view of Paris Mountain, the rose garden is amazing. and the entire lake loop trail offers beautiful views.
I love having the honor of taking photos of a brand new little family of three. It’s such a special time, and I think it’s so important to remember your lives in this very moment when you are loving getting to be first time parents and your baby is still so tiny. I know I really treasure all of the photos I get to take with my husband and our baby.
I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorite photos from last night’s family photo session on Furman University’s campus. Check out all the cute baby photos below!

Cleveland Park Family Photos in Greenville, South Carolina
The most important thing about family photos is remembering the love you share with each other, the connection you have with each other as a family, and how much fun this stage of life is! Ever since becoming a mom last year, the value of great family photos just hits me even harder. Kids grow and change so fast. Life can seem like it’s going a million miles an hour sometimes, and it is so important to take time to cherish the memories and capture this stage of your family’s lives together.
A lot of people ask what a family photo session with me is like, so I’ll break it down for you and you’ll see what I mean in the session below! We start with all those important looking and smiling photos of the whole families and break downs of different combinations of family members together. Then, we pretty much spend the rest of the session playing. I love to create moments of connection with your family by using prompts and games to create beautiful, genuine candid moments. Kids always have so much fun. And even the dads always tell me that they loved the session!
I aim for absolutely zero stress and huge variety of images for you to choose from! These sessions are truly a fun family memory for you family, not something stressful on your to-do list. I promise!
Plus, a perk of choosing a family photographer who spent 6 years of her career as a wedding photographer is that I always make it a priority to capture amazing photos of just you and your spouse. I think it’s so important, because that’s the love and connection that started this family after all!
Enjoy a few sneak peeks from my family session with the Collette family this morning! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Taylors, South Carolina Lifestyle Newborn Photographer
There's something so special about a lifestyle newborn session. My main goal during an in home newborn session is to capture what your daily life looks like with your precious new family member. I love to explore all of the areas where you hang out with your baby. The nursery, the master bedroom, and the living room are all great places to take photos. Sometimes, I find a random beautiful area of the house like a hallway or the guest bedroom. BUT at the same time, you should never be stressed about an in home newborn session. If your house is messy, don't worry! Those first precious weeks with your newborn are not the time to be deep cleaning your house. If you only have one tidy corner in the whole house, we can certainly work with that!
The other amazing thing about lifestyle newborn sessions is that you can schedule them whenever you want! They don't have to be done during the first two weeks like a posed newborn session. That gives you plenty of time to heal from the birth and bond with your baby before worrying about a photoshoot. Payton, for example, was 8 weeks old, and this session was so perfect!
Little miss Payton's newborn session this morning was so sweet and special. I had the pleasure of taking her mom, Hadley's, maternity photos. And I always love getting to take both the maternity photos and then the newborn photos!
Payton was so alert and loved the camera. Check out all of the photos of her staring directly at me with her big blue eyes!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos from Payton's newborn session!

Mountain View Family Photos in Greenville, South Carolina
This morning, I had the absolute pleasure of getting to photograph Sam, Anjela, and baby Mira. This family photo session was so much fun for me, especially because little Mira is only two weeks younger than my own baby, Lily. It was so special getting to photograph another baby almost her exact same age!
Sam and Anjela chose my favorite location, Furman University for their family session! I love the rose garden at Furman University, and I've gotten to photograph sooo many family sessions there! Because I've been here so much before, I really wanted to make a point during this session to explore much more of the campus than I usually do! Luckily, baby Mira did amazing and was totally up for exploring and using every second of our session time! Of course, we used the rose garden like I usually do. But we also explored the entire lake loop and got some amazing backdrops with the stunning view of Paris Mountain and the Furman Bell Tower.
It was so hard to choose a few of my favorite photos from this session for the blog post. I absolutely LOVED this session with Anjela, Sam, and little Mira. They are such a fun and adorable family, and I loved getting to capture their love for each other! I hope you love this session as much as I do! Check out a few of my favorite photos from this beautiful family session below!

Family Photos at Legacy Park in Greenville, South Caroline
Wow! My family session with the Macy family last night was an absolute dream! Spring time here in Greenville, South Carolina is such a perfect time for those beautiful, updated portraits with a family photographer session. Jennifer, Preston, Nolan, and Lyla were all so much fun to work with! Families with babies and toddlers are always SO much fun! I honestly love finding sweet joy in the midst of the chaos of life with young children. Making sure the kids have fun and LOVE taking photos with their family is one of my biggest goals, and I would definitely say that we accomplished that goal during our family photo session with these four last night!
Legacy Park near downtown Greenville was so crowded last night! Who can blame everyone for wanting to get outside and play games and hang out with friends. It was an absolute perfect day. And we got such a beautiful sunset. Luckily, when location scouting before our session, I found a beautiful, quiet, and less crowded area towards the back of the park. It was the perfect spot to see the sunset peaking through the trees that lined the park. I will definitely come back and use this spot again!
I am so in love with all of the photos from this sweet family session! Please enjoy a few of my favorite family photos from this session below! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Taylors, South Carolina Maternity Photographer
I LOVED getting to take maternity photos for Kristen last night! Her little family was so sweet. Little Grayson was amazing in front of the camera. He really liked having his photo taken, which definitely isn't true of every two and a half year old. He loved getting to kiss baby Landon and try to feel the baby kick in mommy's belly.
This maternity photo session happened at one of my all time favorite locations in the Greenville, South Carolina area, the Rose Garden at Furman University. Although it's currently the middle of winter and the roses are dead, the hedge maze and gazebo are still beautiful. And there are tons of amazing green magnolia trees even in January. There are so many stunning spots there that I love, especially when he get a beautiful golden hour and sunset.
These three did amazing even in the cold yesterday. I'm so incredibly happy for Kristen as well as their whole little family, and I can't wait to meet their new little baby, Landon. Grayson will be such a sweet older brother, and it will be so fun to have a family of four. Photographing families and maternity photos are some of my absolute favorite things in the world! I'm so thankful for each opportunity to capture sweet families!
I was so thankful to have the opportunity to take these maternity photos of Kristin along with her little family. Enjoy just of few of my favorites of these three (four)!

Owen
I LOVED getting to have Pamela, Zak, and little baby Owen in my studio yesterday. Owen is five weeks old, and just so adorable! I always love getting to have babies in my studio. I was so excited that Pamela and Zak wanted me to take Owen's newborn photos. I also had the honor of capturing Pamela's maternity photos and their family photos when Pamela was 39 weeks pregnant with baby Owen! It's always so special to get to capture both the maternity photos and the newborn photos. It means so much to me that so many families trust me to capture such special moments in the lives of their families.
We started with lifestyle photos of Pamela, Zak, and baby Owen. I love using my little rocking chair set up. Then, we took photos with the blank white walls of the studio. I think this really helps to minimize any distractions and really have all of the focus of the photos on the little family. After all of the lifestyle photos, we took photos of baby Owen alone on my bean bag set up. I got some pretty cute faces from Owen since we wasn't interested in sleeping. Although newborn poses usually work best with sleeping babies, sometimes it's fun to have awake babies that want to look at me and make fun faces during the photoshoot as well.
I was so thankful to have the opportunity to take these photos of baby Owen and his parents. Enjoy some of my favorites!
