Indoor Family Christmas Photos
Over Christmas, when we went back home for a visit, I had the opportunity to take a few photos for my sister in law, brother in law, and baby nephew. We only had a few minutes on Christmas eve to take these photos, and little Henry was asleep the whole time. But I absolutely LOVE how these photos turned out. My mother in law and father in law have the most beautiful home with the most amazing natural light, which makes such a gorgeous spot to take photos. I was so glad that I brought my camera along to capture these precious moments of a new little family. These are the first professional photos they have had the opportunity to take as a family of three.
We love these three so much! Henry is only a few weeks older than Lily, and it has been so fun to have someone to talk to about all the baby things who is going through all of the same things at the same time. And even though we live states away, it has been so fun to have a cousin for Lily that is her exact same age! And it will only get more and more fun as these two adorable little babies get older and get to spend more time together. I can't wait to watch them become best friends.
Enjoy some of my favorite photos of this cute little Christmas photo session with Hannah, Jack, and baby Henry.

Maternity Photos at Falls Park in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina
I absolutely LOVED working with Hadley and Travis on their maternity photos at Falls Park in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Hadley is just now 30 weeks pregnant, which is the perfect time frame to take maternity photos. It's the time when your bump is super cute, but you haven't started getting too uncomfortable and swollen yet. You can still walk around taking photos without too much trouble. I always recommend taking maternity photos sometime between weeks 25-32. Another benefit of doing maternity photos during this time frame is that you don't have to worry about missing out on photos if you go into labor early.
Hadley and Travis were so sweet and amazing to work with. I can already tell that they are going to be such great parents to their little baby girl. It's such an exciting time, and I am just so happy for these two. I have a three month old baby girl myself, and I can say that having a newborn baby has been one of the best times of my life. Too many people talk about hard hard the newborn phase is. And I get it, you're not getting enough sleep and you're figuring out how to take care of another human. But not enough people talk about how amazing it is to get to hold your baby ever day while they sleep in your arms or how sweet it is when they smile at you for the first time. Being a parent is the best, and I'm so happy for these two as they embark on such a wonderful journey.
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from this maternity session!

Downtown Greenville, SC Maternity Photos
I absolutely LOVED having the honor of photographing Erica and Austin’s maternity photos in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina this past weekend. Maternity photos are some of my absolute favorite types of photos to take! It’s always such a special time in the lives of the family, and it means so much to be to be able to document that. This is Erica and Austin’s first baby. Having been through my first pregnancy recently, I completely relate to how exciting it can be when you are expecting your first baby!
Erica wanted a Christmas and Holiday themed maternity photo session, and downtown had so much beautiful Christmas decor for us to use for our photos. We started at the Westin hotel downtown. It was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. We used the huge Christmas tree in the middle of their lobby for photos. And we stopped by one of their large beautiful windows with stunning drapes on the way out. After that, we walked down to the Ready River and stopped and every beautiful spot we saw. The took some photos in front of Greenville’s city Christmas Tree, the beautiful trees in front of the peace center, and then the open air brick building by the river that I love. They all made for some beautiful spots for photos.
I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite photos from Erica and Austin’s maternity photo session in downtown Greenville, South Carolina!

Furman Rose Garden Maternity and Family Photos
I absolutely LOVED having the opportunity to photograph Pamela and her sweet family this past weekend at the Rose Garden on Furman University’s campus. The Furman University Rose garden is one of my absolute favorite spots for family photo sessions and maternity photo sessions. Even though it’s December, there were still beautiful flowers and tons of greenery. Pamela didn’t want it to look too much like fall in her maternity photos, because she wanted her photos to look timeless. Since this will most likely be her last baby, Pamela really wanted to capture everything about this pregnancy as well as her family at this stage in their lives. She is scheduled to have her baby on December 16, so I was so glad we were able to schedule this last minute maternity session before her new baby joins this sweet family.
Although it was a dreary and cloudy day, I LOVE all of the photos from this session SO much! This family was so sweet in the way they all interacted naturally with each other. And getting to photograph pregnant mamas is always such an honor. It’s especially fun to get to photograph the newborn babies when they arrive after getting to photograph their mama’s pregnancy journey with them! It’s always such a special time in the lives of the family.
I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite photos from Pamela’s maternity session and family session! I absolutely LOVED working with this sweet family!

Luncheon at the Poinsette Club
I had the most wonderful time photographing Eleanor’s Christmas themed 80th birthday luncheon at the Poinsette Club this past weekend! The Poinsette Club in downtown Greenville, South Carolina is just stunning! There are so many stunning rooms to host events in, and the entire place was perfectly decorated for Christmas! I loved all of the Christmas trees in each room and in the hallways, and the garlands on the mantles and staircases. It was absolutely beautifully decorated. It was so perfect for Eleanor’s Christmas themed birthday luncheon.
Eleanor was so sweet and fun to photograph! I loved being able to capture some special photos of just her for her birthday amongst all of the beautiful decor of the Poinsette Club. We also got to capture lots of photos of her with all of her family members, lots of candid photos of the party, and of course, all of the beautiful decor.
Eleanor was just stunning, and she had so much fun celebrating her birthday with so many of her friends and family! I know that it meant so much to her for her family and friends to throw her such a beautiful party and for so many of her friends and family to come to Greenville from out of town and out of the state just to celebrate her.
I hope you enjoy just a few of my absolute favorite photos of Eleanor, her family, and all of the beautiful decor from this stunning Christmas themed birthday luncheon at the Poinsette Club in downtown Greenville.

Fall Family Photos at Paris Mountain state Park
Wow! I loved this fun session with Briana, Nick, and their one year old son Luke! It was such an honor to get to take their first family photos ever! Luke was so much fun to work with (and of course, Briana and Nick were super fun, too!) Luke was all smiles. He was so interested in my camera, which made for lots of great looking at the camera photos, which is no small feat with a one year old!
This family photo session took place at Paris Mountain State Park in Taylors, South Carolina. It was a beautiful, sunny morning. Although most of the park was pretty dead since the fall season is almost over, I arrived early to scout out the park to find the last few spots with fall colors. I think we achieved Briana's goal of getting family photos with the last little bit of the beautiful fall foliage colors of the season! At the end of the session, I love that Briana, Nick, and Luke were up for sitting and playing in the leaves! I love taking sitting photo poses with families to add variety to the full gallery. And it really helped us achieve the fall look!
I had SO much fun getting to photograph this sweet family, and I absolutely LOVE how the photos from their session turned out! I hope you enjoy seeing a few of my favorite photos from this lovely fall family photo session below!

Family Photos at the Furman Rose Garden
These four were one of the many sweet families I had the pleasure of working with during my family mini sessions on Saturday evening. These boys had so much energy, which I always love from kids while I'm taking family photos! They had so much fun, and loved getting to hug and laugh and interact with their mom and dad. They also loved getting to do all of my fun running poses, like running around mom and dad and running towards mom and dad to give them a big hug. Kids also always love getting on mom or dad's shoulders for photos or getting a piggy back right for mom and dad.
The rose garden at Furman University was absolutely beautiful on Saturday. It was the perfect spot to take so many lovely family photos. The roses were all still in full bloom even though it's almost winter here in Greenville, South Carolina. There is also still so much greenery and so many beautiful green trees that have not yet been affected by the colors changing during fall.
This family was an absolute blast to work with! I loved getting to photograph all of their sweet, natural, candid interactions with each other. The parents were so sweet and encouraging towards their kids, which always makes a world of difference when taking family photos..
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos of this sweet family! I absolutely love how these turned out!

Furman Rose Garden Family Photos
Holly, Ryan, and their kids were one of the many sweet families I had the pleasure of working with during my family mini sessions at the Rose Garden on Furman University's campus on Saturday evening. Their kids are 5 years old, 3 years old, 18 months old, and 8 weeks old! I loved getting to photograph another two month old, since I have a two month old daughter as well! The kids were all so sweet with their baby brother. The oldest two kids, Beckett and Avala, had so much energy and loved running around! So after making sure to get those standard looking and smiling at the camera photos that moms always love, we took some fun running photos as well! I always love photos with the kids running around the parents. And I also love photos of the kids running towards the parents and giving them a huge hug!
I love that I was able to deliver the full gallery of this family the next day! I love giving the families plenty of time to order their Christmas cards. A fast turn around time when editing my client's photos is always a top priority for me! I always try to send a sneak peek right away, too! My families always love getting to see an immediate fun result of our time together!

Furman University Family Photos
On Saturday, I took mini sessions for four sweet families on the campus of Furman University at the Rose Garden. Even though it's almost winter, the rose garden is still looking absolutely beautiful! The roses are still all in full bloom, and the colors are stunning. The blooms are so colorful and come in pink, red, yellow, white, red, and orange. There's also still tons of gorgeous greenery and green trees that haven't yet been affected by fall and the colder weather.
Sina, Evan, and their son Nolan were my last family of the night. It was supposed to be a sunset session, but it ended up being super cloudy on Sunday. But I love that we were still able to get some gorgeous, bright photos. You would never be able to tell how dark it actually was when you look at these photos. Sometimes clients want to reschedule their photo session when it's a cloudy day, but we can always still get such beautiful photos even when it's dark and cloudy out!
I loved getting to photograph these three! We were able to get lots of great photos of all three of them looking and smiling at the camera, but my favorite photos are always the fun candids, especially with toddlers! The natural, candid interactions between these three were so sweet and beautiful! I love just getting to capture the natural love between family members.
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos of this sweet family!

Falls Park Couples Photos
I was so excited when Katelyn reached out to me over on Instagram about taking holiday card photos for her, Hue, and their dog, Mac. I always love when my couples and families bring their dogs to their photo sessions! they're a member of the family, too, right? So they should definitely be on the Holiday card! I've even had one couple include a horse on their Christmas card. I'm still waiting for a family who wants to include their cats!
Katelyn and Hue chose downtown at Falls Park for their couples photos with their dog. It was such a beautiful day, and I was so surprised by how much fall color and foliage their still was downtown even though November is almost over! These two wanted mainly tree backgrounds instead of the actual water falls, so we found some beautiful spots with lots of pretty trees! Then, we crossed the street over to the little green bridge and the brick building. I don't actually know what it's called, but I've always been obsessed with that little spot of downtown.
I was so happy to deliver Katelyn and Hue's full gallery, fully edited, the same day as their session! I always want to make sure my clients have plenty of time to order their holiday cards.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from my photo session with Katelyn, Hue, and their dog, Mac! I hope you enjoy them!

Rainy Day Family Photos
It was pouring rain during our family portrait session with the Harris family at Paris Mountain State Park last week. Caroline and her family decided that they wanted to shoot in the rain anyway! I love when my family clients are just up for anything and want to use their family photo session to make fun memories with their family! I brought some clear umbrellas, so we should start the shoot without getting wet. Then at the end of the session, we ditched the umbrellas and took some fun photos in the rain! The Harris Family was so much fun to work with! The boys loved shooting and the rain and I loved capturing such fun and genuine reactions between the parents and kids!
It was the perfect time of the year here in Greenville, South Carolina. The fall colors were peak and in full display. November is really the best month of the year here in the Upstate of South Carolina. It’s the perfect temperature and we really get those stunning fall colors or reds, yellows, and oranges. And Paris Mountain State Park is one of the best places to go in this city for seeing those beautiful fall colors in my opinion. I always love this spot for my family photo sessions!
Enjoy some of my favorite photos from this rainy day fall family photo session at Paris Mountain State Park!

Family Photos at Paris Mountain State Park
I absolutely LOVED working with Kristen and Doug and their two girls on their fall family photos! This family was so sweet and fun! I loved that the kids even came with some fun ideas for photos that they wanted to try based on seeing some of my previous family photos of some of their family friends! This family was so sweet, and I loved the fact that they wanted to use their fall family photo session at Paris Mountain State Park to make some fun, lasting memories together as a family.
Although it has been raining all weekend, we finally got some really pretty sunshine on the day of this family photo session, which I was so thankful for! These photos will make such beautiful holiday cards for this sweet family. I love that we were able to capture all of the beautiful fall colors that Greenville has to offer! And we were able to capture the beautiful sunset shining through the trees in the background of our photos too. I loved that this family was up for anything I threw at them, and we got such fun photos of all of them as well as lots of different combinations so that each family member has lots of fun photos with everyone else. I couldn't have loved working with this family more!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from this fun fall family photo session at Paris Mountain State Park! Enjoy!

Greenville, South Carolina Family Photographer
I loved getting to do another fun family photo session in Paris Mountain State Park! Paris Mountain is definitely one of my favorite photography locations here in the Greenville, South Carolina area. It's such a beautiful, woodsy area. It always has gorgeous foliage. It even has a lake and a beach. during this session, we really wanted to show off the last little bit of the pretty fall colors. I tend to always take photos in the same few locations that I really love within the park, so when I arrived for this session, I spent some time driving around to see if there were any cool spots with pretty leaves and lighting that I haven't used yet. I found a really pretty little trail that had beautiful glowy light! It still had some fall colors, and I even found a spot with lots of beautiful greenery! You'd never even know it was the end of fall. And then we ended our session down by the lake, which has always been one of my favorite spots.
This family was so sweet and fun! I loved the way the parents interacted with their kids, and the kids did amazing for how old they were! And we even got some time to take photos of just mom and dad together. It's so important to still take lots of couples photos even after you become parents! As a former wedding photographer, I LOVE to take those lovey dovey photos for the parents.
Here are a few of my favorites from this session!

Furman Rose Garden Family Photos
Wow! This family photo session was SO much fun! Photographing families with twins just might be my new favorite thing! Having a two month old baby myself, I don’t know how families with twins do it! I so admire anyone with multiples! These twins are just 7 months old! How cute are their little coordinating Christmas outfits?!
These family photos were at the Furman Rose Garden, which was BEAUTIFUL and in full bloom! You can’t even tell that it’s almost winter in these photos! This rose garden was one of the first places I explored here in Greenville before I even moved here, and it's still one of my absolute favorite parts of the city. It's absolutely stunning for photo sessions, and has the most beautiful lighting during golden hour and sunset. I always recommend this spot to my families! It makes for beautiful family photos!
I can’t believe how many great photos we were able to get with two babies! We got tons with everyone even looking at the camera! I was so happy and absolutely LOVED this photo session!
There are so many great spots within the Rose Garden to take photos! Of course, the gazebo is stunning. And then there are the rows of hedges with brick paths. And of course, you have to get in the middle of all of the roses for some beautiful shots as well! We took these photos right at sunset, and the lighting was just gorgeous!

Paris Mountain State Park Family Photos
I absolutely LOVED working with the super sweet Adams family! The way Amy and Zach interacted with their kids was so fun to see! You could literally feel how much this family loves each other and how much fun they have together! It always makes for some amazing photos when the parents are super encouraging towards their kids and the kids feel free to have fun and be themselves. I love those sweet, genuine interactions that come from such a beautiful family dynamic.
These photos were so special to this sweet family, because Amy is pregnant with their third child! I loved capturing some sweet maternity photos in addition to all of the family photos. The kids were so sweet and excited about their new baby sister and loved kissing mommy’s baby bump!
It was actually pouring rain on the day of this family session, but right after we arrived at Paris Mountain State Park, the rain cleared for us! I had brought some clear umbrellas to use for shooting in the rain, but luckily we didn’t even need to use them! It ended up being SO beautiful, and I love how the rain really brought out all of the fall colors!
Early to mid November is usually when the peak fall colors happen here in the Upstate of South Carolina. We ended up with the perfect timing for those fall colors during this session! And Paris Mountain was the most stunning spot to show off all of the colors that Greenville, South Carolina has to offer!

Our First Family Photos
I’m so excited to be showing you our first few family photos in our home and in our baby girl’s nursery! I just love these photos of Mark, Lillian, and I. We just love our little baby burrito and we love being a family of three now! When Lily was just a few days old, Mark took some photos of me with Lily, and I took photos of him with Lily. When Lily was two weeks old, my mom came to visit from Indiana. While she was here, I handed her my camera to take the photos of Mark, Lily, and I all together. And in exchange, I took a few photos of her with her granddaughter as well. We took these photos in our daughter nursery, outside out home in our back yard, and in my home newborn studio! I just love how all of these photos turned out!
I can’t wait to continue taking family photos with Lillian as she grown up! I already have so many that I want to print. I can imagine that we will start running out of room on our walls soon!
Having my own baby has showed me just how important newborn photos and family photos are. It has made me even more excited to capture these precious moments for other families and help to preserve these precious moments for other moms, dads, babies, and siblings.
I hope you enjoy these first few family photos of Mark, Lillian, and I! I can’t wait to take newborn and family photos for my sweet clients as well when I come back from maternity leave!

Lillian's Fresh 48 Photos
As a professional photographer, I decided to pack my camera equipment in my hospital bag when I gave birth to my daughter, Lillian and take my own fresh 48 photos of her at the hospital. I’m so glad I did, because I love these first few photos of her! Babies change SO fast, and I wanted to capture her just as she was right after her birth. Lily is such a beautiful baby, and I love these photos of my little girl!
I got to take photos of little Lily the day after she was born. Mark took photos of me with her, and I took photos of him with her. i handed my camera to a nurse, and she took the photos of the three of us. Also, Mark took my camera and took a few photos of us right after she was born. I love having these photos of our new little family.
Enjoy these first few photos of my baby girl and our little family! I will also be posting our first lifestyle photos in our home and in Lily’s nursery. Stay on the lookout for those! I will be returning from maternity leave in a few weeks, and I can’t wait to document your families as well and document your first moments with your newest additions!

Lillian's Newborn Photos
I got to take my own daughter, Lillian’s, newborn photos just a few days after she was born in my home studio. For a lot of these photos, she was so wide awake and alert. She is such a curious little girl. Even right after she was born, she had her eyes wide open, just looking back and forth between me and Mark. She loves just looking at the world around her and taking everything in.
For the second set of photos, she finally fell asleep and I was able to get a little more creative with posing. I was also able to use some of my cute new props like a little teddy bear and a little heart for her to hold. I also used some fun headbands, outfits, and wraps!
It must be hard being a photographer’s daughter. This little one is going to have to be posing for pictures for the rest of her life. Good thing she’s so stinking cute! She was definitely born to be a baby model. I can tell already that she’s so strong and smart too!
Photographing my ow daughter has been so much fun. I can’t wait to photograph lots of other newborn sessions and families with their newest additions in the near future! As a reminder, I’ll be returning from maternity leave in a few weeks! I will start taking sessions again near the end of October. In the mean time, enjoy some of my favorite photos of our little Lily! I’ll be sharing her Fresh 48 photos and our first family photos here on the blog soon as well, so stay on the lookout for those!

Our Baby Girl's Nursery Tour
Today I’m sharing out baby girl’s nursery! I’m so excited about the way everything turned out, and we can’t wait for our girl to be here soon. We are due in about a week, and I’m currently on maternity leave while we wait for her arrival, so I thought I would share some photos of her nursery with you as well as some links for where we purchased everything in case you'‘re in the process of setting up your own nursery.
When we started thinking about decorating the nursery, I imagined painting the room grey, but Mark really wanted a pink room after we found out we were having a girl. How could I deny a dad that was so excited about a pink room for his daughter?! We chose a soft, light pink color, and I loved how it turned out, especially with the grey and white decor in the room.
We chose this crib based on the safety ratings and the versatility. It can be converted into a toddler bed, a day bed, and a twin bed!
I knew I wanted a name sign for her, but it took us SOOO long to come up with a name. It feels like such an important decision, since it’s a life long decision. Luckily, we decided on a name just in time to be able to order this sign to come in in time. We got it on Etsy!
One of my favorite things to do as a kid was read! It’s still one of my favorite things, but I have so many good memories of reading with my parents when I was a child. I wanted the same thing for my daughter, so I knew I wanted a little reading area in her room. Mark’s brother and sister-in-law threw us such a sweet baby shower where people brought books instead of cards, which is where we got most of these books! I can’t wait to read them with her! The rocking chair is super comfy, and I’m sure we will love spending time with her here!
We found the perfect clear book shelves here!
My friend made this felt mobile for us! For now, it’s in the middle of the room, but we do plan to move it over her crib in a few months. My friend asked me what type of theme I wanted, and we went with floral since we chose a flower name for our little girl. You can check out my talented friend’s shop here!
I love this fun play mat and baby bouncer!
These cubbies have been super helpful for organizing her closet! Also, something that no one warned me about is the fact that baby clothes don’t fit on regular hangers! You have to order special baby hangers. I love these ones that I found! they come with size organizers too!
I hope you loved this tour of our baby girl’s nursery! We are so excited for her to be here, and I feel like this little space will be perfect for her!
