Our Kitchen Remodel

Our kitchen remodel is finally finished! For those who don’t know the story, our kitchen flooded about a year ago, which forced us to remodel sooner than we were planning to. It ended up being a blessing in disguise, because we absolutely LOVE our new kitchen! I never thought I would just get to design my own kitchen from scratch! We completely redid the entire layout with the help of our contractor, Quebe Flooring, on the design.

We decided on white cabinets for the exterior walls, and a custom sage island. Because of the shape of our kitchen. we went with an L shaped island. This shape is certainly not commonly used for kitchen islands, but it is perfect for our kitchen in order to maximize the space that we have without ending up with any wasted or underutilized areas in the room. We formerly had a small U shaped kitchen with a breakfast nook. By getting rid of the breakfast book, we ended up with double the kitchen size while also adding more seating in the kitchen. We put 5 barstools around the island, but we could definitely fit two more if we needed to.

A common question that we get is about our flooring. It’s actually a wood-look tile, which I highly recommend! Our contractor very strongly suggested that we use tile in the kitchen, because it’s the most durable type of flooring and ideal for an area with water, like kitchens and bathrooms. We really love the look of hardwood floors, which we have in the rest of our home, so the wood-look tile ended up being perfect for us!

For the countertops, we choose our our quartz slab with white and shiny gold veining. It’s very subtle from far away, but noticeable close up, which we love. The backsplash is marble. It was definitely a splurge, but the nice thing about splurging on backsplash, is that is still take up such a small percentage of the overall budget. I really love the look of each piece being unique, which I just couldn’t find in any material besides marble, but I love the backsplash! It’s one of my favorite decisions that we made. Our contractor had the idea to not only take the backsplash all the way to the ceiling, but also wrap it around the wall and door. I love the final look!

Another splurge in this kitchen was the honey bronze cabinet knobs and pulls. I love the look of the long pulls on the big drawers as well as on the pantry doors. For faucets and light fixtures, we went with black. I love the look of the mixed metals in here.

And finally, our favorite part of the kitchen is the little coffee bar area. The light wood floating shelves go perfectly with the look and feel of the kitchen, and are so fun to walk into from the garage. We also love having the second sink there! A second sink in the kitchen is something you don’t know you need until you have one, but then are you so thankful that you have it! It always comes in so handy! Especially for making drinks.

Here are a few photos of our newly remodeled kitchen! Scroll to the end to see a video walk through of the space.

Our kitchen is also available for photoshoots! I’ve already photographed a branding session in here for a local health coach as well as a few maternity photos of myself, which I will share here on the blog soon! I’m open to any types of product or lifestyle sessions as well! Feel free to reach out to me if you’re interested and in the Greenville, South Carolina area!

My Own Family Photos

While we were back in Indiana for a week (from where we live, in Greenville, South Carolina) for my sister's wedding, we got our own family photos taken with one of my personal favorite photographers, Kaylee Creighton! Kaylee and I have been friends since we were both baby photographers, just starting out in the business! It's been so fun to watch how much both of us and our work and our businesses have grown and developed, and gotten better and better over the years!

We decided to take our family photos at the spot that Mark and I got engaged! He proposed at the War Memorial in downtown Indianapolis! It was so special to take Lily there for the first time! It was our first time being back there since we got engaged as well! Since we moved to Greenville, South Carolina shortly after.

Now that Lily is one and constantly on the move, taking family photos has definitely become more challenging. This age is SO much fun though, and I am so thankful to have gotten to capture this phase of life with our little family! To my fellow mamas, I promise that photographing family photos with your toddlers is not only possible, but SO much fun! Finding a photographer who is great with toddlers is the key!

Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from my own family session below! I'm so excited to share these with you!

Lily's First Christmas

As a photographer and also a new mom, of course I had to document my 3 month old baby's first Christmas with a few different photoshoots! We took some photos of me and Lily by the Christmas tree in our dining room. Her aunt got her this adorable little Christmas outfit with flowers and a little red velvet jumpsuit. Lily looks so adorable in her little Christmas outfit, doesn't she? I also did a little Christmas set up with some of the Christmas decor I had. Lily absolutely LOVES tummy time, which is why all of my photos of her lately have been with her on her belly looking up at the camera. That's when she is the happiest! Plus since she has learned to roll from her back to her belly, she flips over to her belly now as soon as you put her on her back! So there is really know taking photos of her on her back anymore. I'm so thankful to my husband, Mark, for always putting up with my requests for more and more photos of Lily and of me and Lily. I love having little weekly photoshoots to remember all of the sweet little moments with my baby girl and all the fun that we are having as a family!

I hope you enjoy a few photos documenting little Lily's first Christmas and my first Christmas as a mama! I couldn't be more in love with this little baby!

Christmas at the Biltmore

Christmas at the Biltmore was absolutely magical. I was so glad we finally had the opportunity to go! We tried to go last year, but you have to buy your tickets so far in advance! We made sure to buy our Christmas the the Biltmore tickets about 2 months in advance this year, so that we could get a weekend spot! Mine and Mark's birthdays are only 4 days apart and they are in mid December. So we decided to go up to Asheville for Christmas at the Biltmore to celebrate both of our birthdays. We took Lily with us, and she did so well! She loves to explore and see new things. and she ended up napping in the carrier for a while too.

I brought my camera along to take a few Christmassy photos in front of the Biltmore of me and Lily as well as Mark and Lily. If only I had brought my tripod to take some photos of all three of us. Maybe next year! Of course, we had to explore the grounds while we were there. It's so different in every season! I can't wait to go back in the spring and see all of the beautiful blooms.

We also stopped at the winery, one of my favorite spots on the grounds. The Christmas at the Biltmore white wine special was amazing! I highly recommend stopping to buy a bottle if you happen to be there in the near future!

Just a few Christmas Photos

Mark, Lily, and I rarely get photos of all three of us. I'm sure most parents can relate. Usually I take photos of Mark and Lily or Mark takes photos of me and Lily, but we rarely have anyone to take photos of all three of us. And it is so much harder to take tripod photos when there is a baby involved. So I was so happy when my sister in law took a few photos of our cute little family of three on Christmas Eve with my camera. I already had it out to take photos of some other family members, so I figured why not get a few of us while we were at it. I definitely need to make a better practice to either take more tripod photos of the three of us or hire other photographers regularly for updated family photos.

Most families take updated family photos once a year. As a photographer myself, obviously I'm obsessed with photos and I prefer updated photos more like once a week with my little family. Lily is four months old at this point, and I feel like she is changing so much every day. She has new fun milestones all the time, and I want to capture them all and remember all of the precious moments when she is this little. We are having so much fun, and I love to document everything. I hope you enjoy these few photos of our little family!

Our Baby Girl's Nursery Tour

Today I’m sharing out baby girl’s nursery! I’m so excited about the way everything turned out, and we can’t wait for our girl to be here soon. We are due in about a week, and I’m currently on maternity leave while we wait for her arrival, so I thought I would share some photos of her nursery with you as well as some links for where we purchased everything in case you'‘re in the process of setting up your own nursery.

When we started thinking about decorating the nursery, I imagined painting the room grey, but Mark really wanted a pink room after we found out we were having a girl. How could I deny a dad that was so excited about a pink room for his daughter?! We chose a soft, light pink color, and I loved how it turned out, especially with the grey and white decor in the room.

We chose this crib based on the safety ratings and the versatility. It can be converted into a toddler bed, a day bed, and a twin bed!

I knew I wanted a name sign for her, but it took us SOOO long to come up with a name. It feels like such an important decision, since it’s a life long decision. Luckily, we decided on a name just in time to be able to order this sign to come in in time. We got it on Etsy!

One of my favorite things to do as a kid was read! It’s still one of my favorite things, but I have so many good memories of reading with my parents when I was a child. I wanted the same thing for my daughter, so I knew I wanted a little reading area in her room. Mark’s brother and sister-in-law threw us such a sweet baby shower where people brought books instead of cards, which is where we got most of these books! I can’t wait to read them with her! The rocking chair is super comfy, and I’m sure we will love spending time with her here!

We found the perfect clear book shelves here!

My friend made this felt mobile for us! For now, it’s in the middle of the room, but we do plan to move it over her crib in a few months. My friend asked me what type of theme I wanted, and we went with floral since we chose a flower name for our little girl. You can check out my talented friend’s shop here!

I love this fun play mat and baby bouncer!

These cubbies have been super helpful for organizing her closet! Also, something that no one warned me about is the fact that baby clothes don’t fit on regular hangers! You have to order special baby hangers. I love these ones that I found! they come with size organizers too!

I hope you loved this tour of our baby girl’s nursery! We are so excited for her to be here, and I feel like this little space will be perfect for her!

Life Update: We're Engaged!

I’m so excited to share a personal life update with you all today: Mark and I are engaged! And before I get into all of the juicy details about the proposal, I thought it would be fun to take a step back and share our full love story. It truly feels like a story right out of a fairy tale or romance movie.

Mark and I first met over 8 years ago at a swing dance night that we went to with mutual friends. I’m older than Mark, so at the time, I was in college, and he was in high school. Here’s a photo from that night. We’re on opposite sides of the picture.

He came to that dance with his sister, Hannah, who ended up becoming one of my best friends! Hannah and I became close through swing dancing together, living across the street from each other, and then working together. Hannah is still one of my best friends today! And because of that, Mark and I stayed in each other’s lives as friends over the years as well. Here’s a photo of us a few years later.

I always knew that Mark and I had great conversations whenever we saw each other, but I never thought of him as anything more than a friend. Then, in 2020, we began to become much closer as friends when our friend group formed, and all of us started hanging out a lot more often. Here we all are, celebrating Hannah’s birthday.

At the beginning of this year, Mark started coming to church with me and asking me to hang out one on one, but I was pretty oblivious and didn’t think anything about it at the time. I thought he just wanted to hang out as friends. When Mark first told me that he liked me and wanted to date me earlier this year, I was shocked! I didn’t even know how to respond. I knew that I really liked spending time with him, but I didn’t think I could date my best friend’s brother, and I didn’t want to ruin my friendship with him either. But Mark was so sweet and patient, and never stopped pursuing me. About a month later, we took a trip with our friends to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. It was on this trip that I realized I had strong feelings for Mark. Here’s a photo of us on a hike in Tennessee!

After a few more weeks of spending time together, I finally told Mark I was ready to date him on the same day that he told me he had accepted a new job offer and was moving to Greenville, South Carolina. I was sad, but I knew that dating Mark long distance was better than not being with him at all. He ended up moving less than two weeks after we started dating.

Our relationship has been filled with lots of driving back and forth between Indiana and South Carolina and lots of FaceTiming when we can’t be together in person. But it has also been filled with so much more fun, love, joy, support, adventures, hugs, and great conversations than I ever could have hoped for. Here’s a small glimpse into our many adventures over the past few months. These were all “selfies” taken with my tripod.

After 7 months of having so much fun together, Mark asked me to marry him last Friday! He asked me if I wanted to go for a sunrise walk in downtown Indy and bring the tripod along to take some photos of us. We set up the tripod on the War Memorial downtown and took a couple rounds of photos with the self timer. On the third round, he got down on one knee and proposed! Afterwards, he had planned a surprise engagement party with all of our friends and family at Hannah’s house! We had a lovely brunch with waffles and mimosas and all of the people we love the most. It was absolutely perfect, and so special. Here are the photos from the proposal!

And now I get to marry the best person I’ve ever met! Mark is so kind, thoughtful, hard-working, loving, caring, and self-less. I’m the luckiest girl in the world to get to spend my life with Mark!

Wedding planning has just begun, and now I’m in the same position as the couples that I get to work with every day, which has been so much fun.

I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit more about our love story! Engagement and wedding photos to come :)

Kitten Photos

I recently decided to start blogging some of the other types of photography content that I’ve been working on besides just weddings and couples. Of course, I love to show you all the beautiful weddings and fun couples that I get ti photograph all the time, especially right now in the middle of wedding season and the current wedding boom! But I also just HAD to show you guys these adorable kitten photos that I took a few months ago! Adorable tiny kittens on a beautiful property with a beautiful sunset behind them… what could be more cute and perfect?!

My friend Hannah, who often second shoots for me on wedding days, has such a beautiful farm with the most perfect sunrises and sunsets, as you saw in my last blog post. Hers and Jack’s farm is home to lots of animals, and they recently even had this litter of kittens. Hannah asked me to photograph the kittens in order to help find them good homes. All of the kittens ended up with loving families, but I’m so glad I got to take these adorable photos of them before they did! You’ll also see both Hannah and I featured in some of these photos as well! I couldn’t resist getting a sunset kitten photo for myself.

I hope you love these sunset kitten photos as much as I loved taking them! I’m sure you’ll understand why I was so excited to share these photos here on the blog. I promise I’ll get back to our regular wedding and couples photos soon!

Equestrian and Farm Photos

Normally I’m a wedding photographer, but sometimes I’m an equestrian photographer. I’ve been taking photos of Hannah and her horses ever since way back when I first started doing photography. For some reason, I don’t usually share these types of sessions on my business social media accounts or here on my blog, but these photos were just too good not to share. I absolutely loved this session with Hannah, Finn, and Walter. Hannah Jack’s property in Pendleton, Indiana has the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We got such a stunning golden hour and blue hour for this session last week. I’ve really been lucking out with the weather for all of my sessions, weddings, and even personal projects lately.

During this fun sunset farm session, we took some headshots of Hannah with her piano since she teaches piano lessons. We took some equestrian headshots with her new horse, Walter since she teaches horseback riding lessons and is also the coach of the Ball State equestrian team. We took some photos of her with her other horse, Finn. AND we took some photos of Hannah in her beautiful garden! We got so much accomplished in this session, and I absolutely love how all of the photos turned out.

Check out some of my favorite photos of Hannah, her farm, and her horses below. Maybe I’ll start sharing more of these types of non wedding or couples related sessions in the future, because I love these types of photos so much! I’ll also be sharing some fun photos from some fun personal photography projects in the near future!

Best Friend Session

When Andry and I went to Charleston, South Carolina last month to photograph Joe and Colleen’s leap day wedding, a couple of our best friends decided to come with us on the tri! I figured it would be such a great time to get photos of Hannah, Briana and myself! And we had the added benefit of the beautiful scenery available to us in Charleston, South Carolina! We had beautiful lighting during sunrise, and we also lucked out to have no one else in this park because it was a week day.

We started with photos in Hampton Park with the spanish moss trees lining the pathway and the beautiful white gazebo in the background. My main goal while we were in Charleston was to get tons of photos with Spanish Moss trees as our background! I totally accomplished that goal. For our second location, we went to rainbow row in downtown Charleston. We found a super cute blue wall with amazing plants in the little window boxes. I loved the lighting there and just had to have some photos with the pastel wall. It worked so well with our dress colors.

Andry took the photos of the three of us, as well as me with each of my friends and I took the photos of Hannah and Briana. These photos were SO much fun, and I was so excited to get some fun photos with two of my favorite people! Enjoy some of my favorite sneak peek photos from this session below!

A Few New Headshots

I knew that I wanted to take advantage of all the the beautiful scenery that South Carolina while I was in Charleston last month for Colleen and Joe’s leap day wedding. In addition to all of the amazing nature in the city, we also chose to stay in the cutest little Airbnb! I loved the white and coastal look of the house, and when I saw the kitchen, I just knew I had to take some “headshots” in here!

I say “headshots” in quotations, because I realized recently that I use that word differently than most people! I never take the typical serious, professional, head and shoulders only shot while wearing a suit (at least not since my financial analyst days). Instead, I love more lifestyle photos that show off my personality that I can use to help my couples and followers get to know me more! And these are the types of photos I take for other small business owners with personal brands who need photos for their websites and social media as well! I love fun lifestyle photos that show business owners just having fun in their element. That was my goal with these photos of myself!

I have to give a huge shoutout to my friend, Hannah, for taking these for me! I set up the camera and flash settings and taught her how to focus the camera so that she could take all these photos for me! It’s so great to travel with fun friends!

I hope you enjoy seeing some of my favorite new “headshots!”

My Trip to Iceland

Last year, I went a little bit crazy with travel. I just showed you my entire 5 city series on my trip with my husband through Europe. And then, two weeks after I got home from Europe, I took another trip with two girl friends to Iceland. I had been obsessed with Iceland for so long, and had just been dying to go. I had been seeing stunning destination wedding photos from the black sands beach, and I knew I wanted to shoot a destination wedding or elopement in Iceland. Well, whenever there is a place I want to shoot a destination wedding, I like to go an explore it myself first to get to know the location and find all of the spots that would be perfect for photos.

We were in Iceland for the week in between Christmas and New Years. We started by going to the Blue Lagoon on our way from the airport to Reykjavik. It was just as amazing and beautiful as it looks on those travel Instagram feeds! It’s a natural hot spring with beautiful mountain backdrops all around. At the time of year that we were there, Iceland only has 4 hours of daylight. It was actually really cool, because the sun never gets very high in the sky, so you get a two hour sunrise and then a two hour sunset. The sky always has beautiful, soft, pastel colors in the daylight.

We stayed in Reykjavik for one night, then traveled around the southern rim of the Golden Circle for a few days. I took a one day solo hiking trip in one of the national parks. I’m not the type of person who loves to do things by myself, but I was the only one on the trail, and it was so relaxing to just be alone with nature. On the trail, I got to see the world’s largest glacier outside of the arctics. We also explored the famous Black Sands Beach in Vik, Iceland. Let me tell you, it’s just as beautiful as I expected it to be. It would be the most stunning spot for bride and groom photos for a destination wedding!

We returned to Reykjavik to celebrate New Years. There are huge bonfires all over the city, then there is a firework show in the middle of the city. After the fireworks, we went to the bars, had a few beers, and listened to live music. It was such a fun way to celebrate.

Iceland is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. It’s almost as if you’re on a different planet. I would love to go back in the summer when there’s almost 24 hours of daylight and lots of greenery. It would be such a different experience. Check out some of my favorite photos from my trip to Iceland!

Our Trip to Rome, Italy

We’ve now come to the very last blog post in our series focused on my two week trip with my husband through Europe last fall. For our very last stop of our trip, we stayed in Rome, Italy for three days. When we arrived in Rome, it was early December, but the weather was very warm and nice compared to the rest of the cities we had been to on this trip. Because of this, it was also the most crowded city we visited with lots of tourists everywhere we went.

While we were in Rome, we spent a lot of time exploring the historic sites of the city. We walked around the city visiting all of the ruins. The Colosseum was incredibly impressive in person! It was so beautiful when we visited right at sunset. We also went and saw the Vatican. Fun fact: the Vatican is actually its own separate country. So technically, we visited 4 different countries on this Europe trip. Of course, we saw all of the famous fountains while we were in Rome as well. AND Rome had the best pizza Andry and I have ever had and it was right across the street from our hotel!

I hope with these past five blog posts, I’ve convinced at least one couple to have a destination wedding in Europe. Destination weddings on the beach are so amazing and beautiful, but there are so many options when it comes to your wedding! The world is big, and you can get married anywhere that resonates with you and your fiance!

Check out some of my favorite photos from Rome, Italy! And comment below what my next personal blog series should be about.

Our Trip to Florence, Italy

By now, through my blog series focusing on my trip to Europe last fall, you’ve seen almost all of mine and Andry’s journey. For the second to last city of our vacation, we stayed in Florence, Italy for two days. Don’t be fooled by the fact that I didn’t take nearly as many photos in Florence as the other cities we visited. Andry and I actually had our favorite experience of the entire trip in Florence. Our stay in this city was focused on one thing: wine.

Those who know me personally, know that I’m really interested in wine. Of course, I love it for the taste, but I also love learning about wine, how its grown, where different wines come from, and how its made. A dream of mine is to someday own a vineyard and winery. So while we were in Italy, Andry and I took a full day private wine tour of Tuscany. We had a guided tour, just the two of us and our guide, around the Italian countryside. We visited three different wineries, toured the vineyards, met the winery owners, and got to see how the wine was made. We learned all about the wine industry in Italy, and did so many tastings. By the end of the tour, we were quizzed with a blind tasting of different wines, and we were both able to get 100% of the wines correct based on the taste and smell. Andry and I did a smilier tour when we were in California, but the wine in Italy is very different. I would love to do another wine tour in France. I can’t wait for the day we can return to Europe.

The Tuscany countryside would be the most beautiful and romantic place for a destination wedding or elopement! Check out a few of my favorite photos from Florence, Italy!

Our Trip to Venice, Italy

Continuing on with our blog series on my trip through Europe last year, the next city that Andry and I visited after we left Switzerland, was Venice, Italy. Venice has to be one of my absolute favorite places I’ve eve been! I think it’s tied with Paris. Andry and I loved exploring the whole city by foot.

We could definitely feel the romance that Italy has to offer. We spent 4 days in Venice. We mainly spent our days exploring all that the city has to offer, such as the colorful ally ways and the unique shops, and we spent a lot of time taking in the amazing views of the canal. We were the perfect walking distance from everything in the city, with our hotel being right on the canal. Venice was so fun, because there are no cars, only boats. You could hop on a taxi boat to take you anywhere you wanted to go in the city. We spent our evenings eating amazing Italian Cuisine, having gelato for dessert, and taking the the stunning sunset view of the canal from the famous Rialto bridge. On our last night in Venice, we took a sunset gondola ride, which is something I’ve always wanted to do.

It’s true what they say, Italy really is one of the most romantic places in the world, and Venice would be the perfect place for a romantic destination wedding. Andry and I definitely loved our time there! My next blog post will be about our next leg of the trip in Florence, Italy, which I loved almost as much as Venice. Until then, enjoy some of my favorite photos from Venice, Italy.

Our Trip to Switzerland

This is the second post in my blog series about my trip through Europe with my husband last year. After Paris, we continued on our trip by heading to Switzerland. It had been a long time dream of mine to visit the Swiss Alps and to venture to the top, and we did just that while we were in Switzerland. This country is so beautiful with its majestic mountains and quaint villages.

While we were visiting Switzerland, we stayed in Lucern, an adorable village at the bottom of the alps. We were only in Switzerland for two days, and we ventured up into the mountains both days. On our first day, we went to the top of Mount Pilates, which you can get to via an hour-long cable car ride from Lucern. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much of a view from the top, because we visited on a cloudy day, but on the way up, we saw some of the most beautiful views! Our cable car ride started our with views of the city and the lush green country side, but as we made our way up, the views became completely white and snow-filled.

On our second day in Switzerland, we took a train to the top of the Alps. The summit we went to was called JungFrau. Again, we visited on a very cloudy day, so we didn’t have any view from the top of the mountain, but we still had some neat experiences. The train ride to the top had beautiful scenic views, and once we reached the top, we had to walk through an ice tunnel to reach the top of JungFrau. Overall, it was a really cool experience.

Now that I’ve seen the beauty of Switzerland for myself, I’m dying to photograph a wedding here. Any takers?

Our Trip to Paris

Sometimes, editing personal photos is the very last thing on my to-do list. That’s why it’s taken me over a year to FINALLY edit some of my photos from our trip to Europe. I’ve been dying to get some of these printed, so I finally forced myself to take a break from working 24/7 on my business, and do something for me.

Last November, Andry and I took a big two week trip through Europe. We started in Paris, continued on to Switzerland, and then visited Venice, Florence, and Rome in Italy. Traveling is my favorite hobby. I LOVE to see different parts of the world, and I especially love to get to see the world with my husband. That’s part of the reason I love destination weddings so much. I really resonate with couples who love traveling together and want to celebrate their love in another part of the country or world.

I’m sharing our Europe trip in a series, starting with our first leg of the journey in Paris. We only spent 3.5 days in Paris, but we really made the most of our time there. I had a photoshoot that’s been published multiple times (I’ll share that shoot on the blog soon for those who haven’t seen it). We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. We went to the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa. We took a boat tour of the city. We went to Sacre Coeur, and saw an amazing view of the city. We visited the Palace of Versailles. We toured Notre Dame. And of course, we ate so much amazing food in the Parisian cafes.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from our time in Paris!

My Trip to Mexico

For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to take a week off in the middle of my busy season to take a vacation to Mexico with my sister. I happened to have a weekend that I still hadn’t booked around 5 months out, and flights just happened to be super cheap that weekend. Nicole and I have been wanting to take a sister trip for the longest time, so this was the perfect opportunity.

Before this trip, we hadn’t vacationed together since my senior year of high school school when we went to South Carolina with our mom. During that trip, I had mono and Nicole spent the whole 13 hour car ride home with car sickness. Needless to say, we didn’t have the best vacation memories before this trip. Since then, we’ve grown to be best friends, and I was so happy that we got the opportunity to take another vacation together, just the two of us.

We chose this vacation, because it was super cheap, but we seriously felt like we were living in luxury for a week. All-inclusive Mexican resorts are definitely the way to go for budget vacations! We used my favorite travel agent, Suz Haire to find the perfect resort, El Dorado Seaside Suites. This resort is adults only, and has the most amazing view! Every balcony has a jacuzzi that overlooks the ocean, where you can see the beautiful sunrise each morning.

I didn’t take as many photos on this trip as I normally do, because I wanted to focus on the experience and time with my sister. The photos I did take were more focused on the two of us and less focused on the scenery. I did this because the one thing I regret most from my Europe trip with Andry last year is that all of my photos are of the gorgeous architecture and beautiful scenery, but there are no photos of us in these stunning locations.

If only Nicole and I had a third person with us to get photos of both of us! But I’m sure we’ll be back in Mexico together some day. Maybe even with our future families! But for now, enjoy these photos from our recent trip!
