Greenville Mother's Day Photos
Ashley and Hudson's mommy and me photos today almost got rained out! When we woke up in the morning, the forecast called for severe thunderstorms right during our session time! Normally, I would offer to reschedule, but I knew that Ashley really wanted her photos back in time for mother's day, so I wanted to try to find a way to make today work if at all possible. I always offer to shoot in the rain with clear umbrellas, but I totally understand that it's not necessarily the aesthetic that everyone is looking for. Luckily, we were all able to meet earlier in the day to avoid the storms!
BUT that meant that our session was during Hudson's normal nap time. So I had to pull out all the stops to make sure he had as much fun as possible. My family sessions are all about fun for the whole family (even dad). That means finding fun games, creating candid moments with activities families love to do together, and sometimes even bribing. I let Hudson take a few photos of his mom and dad with my camera! He loved that!
I love how many fun candid photos we were able to capture during this session!
Here are a few of my favorite photos of this sweet little family of three for Mother's Day weekend! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! If you're interested in booking your own family photos, please reach out to me over on my contact page!

Greenville, SC in home lifestyle photographer
In home family photos aren't just for newborn sessions! Family photos in your own space, whether in your house or on your property are so special in my opinion, because I get to document your family's day to day life and capture what this moment in time and this phase of your life really looks like. You get to remember what it was like to hang out with your baby in his nursery, to dance with your husband in the kitchen, to go for walks outside on your property, or to hang out and cuddle on the couch as a family. I absolutely love being an in home lifestyle family photographer here in Greenville, SC.
I absolutely loved these family photos that I got to take of Mandy, Greg, and Tripp at their home and around their property here in Greenville, South Carolina. Their dog, Hank, got to join in on the family fun, too! We used most of the house for these photos from the living room to the nursery, to the kitchen, to the backyard, to the front yard! I loved getting to document all of the ways this family loves to spend time together!

Furman Rose Garden Maternity Photos
Wow! This weekend was full of so many absolutely stunning family photo sessions! Last night. for my last photo session of the weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Dani, Jerry, and Ryles. This was Dani’s maternity photo session for her second son, a baby boy named Brody. Dani trusted my judgment on a location, and we used my absolute favorite location, Furman University. The golden hour lighting was so beautiful last night in the Furman Rose garden, where we started out our session. And then, we ended our session by walking along the lake loop trail. There’s a spot I love with tall grass and a beautiful view of Paris Mountain. I LOVE when my clients trust me to find the absolute best spots for their family photos!
Ryles was the star of the show during this session. I love how much he loved having his photo taken! He is so sweet and loves to love on his mom and dad, which made for the cutest candid snuggly photos. I also let his take a few fun ones, which are just so adorable. And, of course, Dani was absolutely stunning! This family is so excited to add another little one and become a family of four! Ryles is so excited to be a big brother!
Check out a few of my favorite photos from Dani’s maternity session and family photo session at Furman university below! I hope you love the photos from this session as much as I do!

Travelers Rest, South Carolina Family Photographer
Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest family photo session for a brand new little family. Michael, Katie, and little Emma absolutely rocked their family photos. Baby Emma is only 3 months old, but she LOVED the camera! I don’t think I’ve ever had a baby this young looking at my camera as much as Emma did. It made for such cute photos!
We ended up with a super cloudy day. It’s been so rainy here in Travelers Rest, South Carolina lately. But I still just love the way this session turned out. This little family chose Furman University’s campus for their family photos. Furman is definitely one of my favorite spots because of its versatility. It has a super pretty view of Paris Mountain, the rose garden is amazing. and the entire lake loop trail offers beautiful views.
I love having the honor of taking photos of a brand new little family of three. It’s such a special time, and I think it’s so important to remember your lives in this very moment when you are loving getting to be first time parents and your baby is still so tiny. I know I really treasure all of the photos I get to take with my husband and our baby.
I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorite photos from last night’s family photo session on Furman University’s campus. Check out all the cute baby photos below!

Cleveland Park Family Photos in Greenville, South Carolina
The most important thing about family photos is remembering the love you share with each other, the connection you have with each other as a family, and how much fun this stage of life is! Ever since becoming a mom last year, the value of great family photos just hits me even harder. Kids grow and change so fast. Life can seem like it’s going a million miles an hour sometimes, and it is so important to take time to cherish the memories and capture this stage of your family’s lives together.
A lot of people ask what a family photo session with me is like, so I’ll break it down for you and you’ll see what I mean in the session below! We start with all those important looking and smiling photos of the whole families and break downs of different combinations of family members together. Then, we pretty much spend the rest of the session playing. I love to create moments of connection with your family by using prompts and games to create beautiful, genuine candid moments. Kids always have so much fun. And even the dads always tell me that they loved the session!
I aim for absolutely zero stress and huge variety of images for you to choose from! These sessions are truly a fun family memory for you family, not something stressful on your to-do list. I promise!
Plus, a perk of choosing a family photographer who spent 6 years of her career as a wedding photographer is that I always make it a priority to capture amazing photos of just you and your spouse. I think it’s so important, because that’s the love and connection that started this family after all!
Enjoy a few sneak peeks from my family session with the Collette family this morning! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Taylors, South Carolina Lifestyle Newborn Photographer
There's something so special about a lifestyle newborn session. My main goal during an in home newborn session is to capture what your daily life looks like with your precious new family member. I love to explore all of the areas where you hang out with your baby. The nursery, the master bedroom, and the living room are all great places to take photos. Sometimes, I find a random beautiful area of the house like a hallway or the guest bedroom. BUT at the same time, you should never be stressed about an in home newborn session. If your house is messy, don't worry! Those first precious weeks with your newborn are not the time to be deep cleaning your house. If you only have one tidy corner in the whole house, we can certainly work with that!
The other amazing thing about lifestyle newborn sessions is that you can schedule them whenever you want! They don't have to be done during the first two weeks like a posed newborn session. That gives you plenty of time to heal from the birth and bond with your baby before worrying about a photoshoot. Payton, for example, was 8 weeks old, and this session was so perfect!
Little miss Payton's newborn session this morning was so sweet and special. I had the pleasure of taking her mom, Hadley's, maternity photos. And I always love getting to take both the maternity photos and then the newborn photos!
Payton was so alert and loved the camera. Check out all of the photos of her staring directly at me with her big blue eyes!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos from Payton's newborn session!

Mountain View Family Photos in Greenville, South Carolina
This morning, I had the absolute pleasure of getting to photograph Sam, Anjela, and baby Mira. This family photo session was so much fun for me, especially because little Mira is only two weeks younger than my own baby, Lily. It was so special getting to photograph another baby almost her exact same age!
Sam and Anjela chose my favorite location, Furman University for their family session! I love the rose garden at Furman University, and I've gotten to photograph sooo many family sessions there! Because I've been here so much before, I really wanted to make a point during this session to explore much more of the campus than I usually do! Luckily, baby Mira did amazing and was totally up for exploring and using every second of our session time! Of course, we used the rose garden like I usually do. But we also explored the entire lake loop and got some amazing backdrops with the stunning view of Paris Mountain and the Furman Bell Tower.
It was so hard to choose a few of my favorite photos from this session for the blog post. I absolutely LOVED this session with Anjela, Sam, and little Mira. They are such a fun and adorable family, and I loved getting to capture their love for each other! I hope you love this session as much as I do! Check out a few of my favorite photos from this beautiful family session below!

Family Photos at Legacy Park in Greenville, South Caroline
Wow! My family session with the Macy family last night was an absolute dream! Spring time here in Greenville, South Carolina is such a perfect time for those beautiful, updated portraits with a family photographer session. Jennifer, Preston, Nolan, and Lyla were all so much fun to work with! Families with babies and toddlers are always SO much fun! I honestly love finding sweet joy in the midst of the chaos of life with young children. Making sure the kids have fun and LOVE taking photos with their family is one of my biggest goals, and I would definitely say that we accomplished that goal during our family photo session with these four last night!
Legacy Park near downtown Greenville was so crowded last night! Who can blame everyone for wanting to get outside and play games and hang out with friends. It was an absolute perfect day. And we got such a beautiful sunset. Luckily, when location scouting before our session, I found a beautiful, quiet, and less crowded area towards the back of the park. It was the perfect spot to see the sunset peaking through the trees that lined the park. I will definitely come back and use this spot again!
I am so in love with all of the photos from this sweet family session! Please enjoy a few of my favorite family photos from this session below! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Lifestyle Newborn Photographer in Greenville, South Carolina
Wow! This session was one of my all time favorites! First of all, this baby was names Lily, and I have a baby Lily too! And this baby Lily was the same size that my baby Lily was when she was born, but I totally forgot how small she used to be! This baby Lily was one of the smallest newborns I've gotten to photograph lately. I've had such big babies in my studio over the last couple of months.
I loved Emily and Collin's home and their sweet baby's nursery. I loved the pink and floral theme! It was so sweet. And Baby Lily looked so cute in all of her pink and floral clothes and her little pink bows.
This baby was so alert and calm throughout our entire photoshoot. She was so curious about my camera and would look straight at me and straight at her parents. I also love how much hair she had! She has such long, thick, beautiful brunette hair. She already has SO much more hair than my 5 month month old baby.
We started with photos of Lily and her parents in Lily's nursery. There were so many windows with beautiful morning light. Then, we took some fun photos of the little family in Emily and Collin's bedroom. And we ended downstairs so we could get some photos with their dog, Ellie!
Enjoy some of my favorite photos from baby Lily's in home lifestyle newborn photo session here in Greenville, South Carolina.

Baby Clothing Product Photography
I was so excited when Ruth Ann from Tiny Toes Baby Co reached out to me to take some lifestyle photos for two of her new baby bamboo rompers from her new spring collection of baby clothing. Lily always has so much fun being my model! She's becoming so experienced in modeling at this point! We spent our morning having so much fun taking photos of little baby Lily around the house in her new bamboo rompers!
We took some photos first in my little studio in our house. Then we moved to Lily's nursery. The purple floral romper looked amazing next to the pink sheets in Lily's crib and the pink walls in her nursery. Then, we used a white back drop to really make the clothing stand out.
I love all of the clothing in Ruth Ann's shop. Tiny Toes Baby Co has such adorable baby clothing. I highly recommend checking out her products! It's a perfect way to support a small business! I love finding amazing small businesses to support. Tiny Toes Baby Co has amazing high quality clothing. Lily certainly loves her new bamboo sleepers! Both the floral and the turkey patterns are super cute! We will definitely be shopping with them in the future!

Taylors, South Carolina Maternity Photographer
I LOVED getting to take maternity photos for Kristen last night! Her little family was so sweet. Little Grayson was amazing in front of the camera. He really liked having his photo taken, which definitely isn't true of every two and a half year old. He loved getting to kiss baby Landon and try to feel the baby kick in mommy's belly.
This maternity photo session happened at one of my all time favorite locations in the Greenville, South Carolina area, the Rose Garden at Furman University. Although it's currently the middle of winter and the roses are dead, the hedge maze and gazebo are still beautiful. And there are tons of amazing green magnolia trees even in January. There are so many stunning spots there that I love, especially when he get a beautiful golden hour and sunset.
These three did amazing even in the cold yesterday. I'm so incredibly happy for Kristen as well as their whole little family, and I can't wait to meet their new little baby, Landon. Grayson will be such a sweet older brother, and it will be so fun to have a family of four. Photographing families and maternity photos are some of my absolute favorite things in the world! I'm so thankful for each opportunity to capture sweet families!
I was so thankful to have the opportunity to take these maternity photos of Kristin along with her little family. Enjoy just of few of my favorites of these three (four)!

Jonas
I LOVED getting to have Monica, Allen, and little baby Jonas in my studio yesterday! Getting to photograph newborn sessions in my home studio has been one of my absolute favorite things to photograph ever since I had my own daughter and got to photograph her newborn session. I think when a photographer goes through something themselves, it really helps with photographing it for other people. I know what I love about my meternity phjotos and my daughter's newborn photos. And I know what I love when we take family photos or mommy and me photos. So I think that helps me know what other people want in their photos. And it helps me to be able to deliver an amazing experience to my clients along with photos that they will love and cherish of their own pregnancy, of their own newborn babies, and of their own families.
We started baby Jonas's newborn photo session off with lifestyle photos with his mom and dad. I always love my little rocking chair set up. Then we transitioned to the blank white walls, which I always love because it puts all the focus on the little family with no distractions. Lastly, we took photos of baby Jonas on the bean bag with my light blue backdrop. This helps us get all those close up newborn details.
I was so thankful to have the opportunity to take these photos of baby Jonas and his parents. Enjoy some of my favorites!

Owen
I LOVED getting to have Pamela, Zak, and little baby Owen in my studio yesterday. Owen is five weeks old, and just so adorable! I always love getting to have babies in my studio. I was so excited that Pamela and Zak wanted me to take Owen's newborn photos. I also had the honor of capturing Pamela's maternity photos and their family photos when Pamela was 39 weeks pregnant with baby Owen! It's always so special to get to capture both the maternity photos and the newborn photos. It means so much to me that so many families trust me to capture such special moments in the lives of their families.
We started with lifestyle photos of Pamela, Zak, and baby Owen. I love using my little rocking chair set up. Then, we took photos with the blank white walls of the studio. I think this really helps to minimize any distractions and really have all of the focus of the photos on the little family. After all of the lifestyle photos, we took photos of baby Owen alone on my bean bag set up. I got some pretty cute faces from Owen since we wasn't interested in sleeping. Although newborn poses usually work best with sleeping babies, sometimes it's fun to have awake babies that want to look at me and make fun faces during the photoshoot as well.
I was so thankful to have the opportunity to take these photos of baby Owen and his parents. Enjoy some of my favorites!

My 30th Birthday Photoshoot
I'm sure you all have noticed by now that I love to document EVERYTHING, especially now that I have a baby. So of course, I wanted to do a little photoshoot of my baby and I for my 30th birthday. I got little and I little matching sweatshirts. I didn't know that they made baby sweatshirts, but I'm obsessed! Lily's sweatshirt says Little Love, and mine says Mama. As a photographer, one of my favorite things to photograph is mommy and me photos. I also love daddy and me photos, but I don't get the opportunity to photograph just dads with their babies quite as often as I do just moms and their babies. And now that I have my own baby, I love to take new photos with her weekly if I can. Luckily My husband Mark loves to take photos of the two of us! And I like to take plenty of photos of Lily with just Mark as well! It's even cute with Lily matches me or when she matches Mark. They need to make more matching or coordinating outfits for dads and daughters like they do for moms and daughters! Don't get me wrong, I love to match with my baby, but I would love for Mark to have the opportunity to match with her more often as well!
I hope you enjoy this photoshoot of Lily and I that we took for my 30th birthday!

Lily's First Christmas
As a photographer and also a new mom, of course I had to document my 3 month old baby's first Christmas with a few different photoshoots! We took some photos of me and Lily by the Christmas tree in our dining room. Her aunt got her this adorable little Christmas outfit with flowers and a little red velvet jumpsuit. Lily looks so adorable in her little Christmas outfit, doesn't she? I also did a little Christmas set up with some of the Christmas decor I had. Lily absolutely LOVES tummy time, which is why all of my photos of her lately have been with her on her belly looking up at the camera. That's when she is the happiest! Plus since she has learned to roll from her back to her belly, she flips over to her belly now as soon as you put her on her back! So there is really know taking photos of her on her back anymore. I'm so thankful to my husband, Mark, for always putting up with my requests for more and more photos of Lily and of me and Lily. I love having little weekly photoshoots to remember all of the sweet little moments with my baby girl and all the fun that we are having as a family!
I hope you enjoy a few photos documenting little Lily's first Christmas and my first Christmas as a mama! I couldn't be more in love with this little baby!

Christmas at the Biltmore
Christmas at the Biltmore was absolutely magical. I was so glad we finally had the opportunity to go! We tried to go last year, but you have to buy your tickets so far in advance! We made sure to buy our Christmas the the Biltmore tickets about 2 months in advance this year, so that we could get a weekend spot! Mine and Mark's birthdays are only 4 days apart and they are in mid December. So we decided to go up to Asheville for Christmas at the Biltmore to celebrate both of our birthdays. We took Lily with us, and she did so well! She loves to explore and see new things. and she ended up napping in the carrier for a while too.
I brought my camera along to take a few Christmassy photos in front of the Biltmore of me and Lily as well as Mark and Lily. If only I had brought my tripod to take some photos of all three of us. Maybe next year! Of course, we had to explore the grounds while we were there. It's so different in every season! I can't wait to go back in the spring and see all of the beautiful blooms.
We also stopped at the winery, one of my favorite spots on the grounds. The Christmas at the Biltmore white wine special was amazing! I highly recommend stopping to buy a bottle if you happen to be there in the near future!

Just a few Christmas Photos
Mark, Lily, and I rarely get photos of all three of us. I'm sure most parents can relate. Usually I take photos of Mark and Lily or Mark takes photos of me and Lily, but we rarely have anyone to take photos of all three of us. And it is so much harder to take tripod photos when there is a baby involved. So I was so happy when my sister in law took a few photos of our cute little family of three on Christmas Eve with my camera. I already had it out to take photos of some other family members, so I figured why not get a few of us while we were at it. I definitely need to make a better practice to either take more tripod photos of the three of us or hire other photographers regularly for updated family photos.
Most families take updated family photos once a year. As a photographer myself, obviously I'm obsessed with photos and I prefer updated photos more like once a week with my little family. Lily is four months old at this point, and I feel like she is changing so much every day. She has new fun milestones all the time, and I want to capture them all and remember all of the precious moments when she is this little. We are having so much fun, and I love to document everything. I hope you enjoy these few photos of our little family!

Outdoor Family Photos in Greenville, South Carolina
This is part three in my series of the family photo session I had the opportunity to do for Ellen, Rob, and baby Grady. For the first two parts of the session, we took photos in my in home studio in Taylors. Little Grady ended up falling asleep during our session, so we decided to move to the outdoor portion of the session, so that he could finish his nap in the car on the way to our next location. Ellen and Rob told me they trusted me to choose the location, so I chose my absolute favorite location in the Greenville area, Furman University. This time, I didn't use the Rose Garden. I didn't love the look of all the dead roses since it's January. But right next to the garden, there are beautiful magnolia trees and brick sidewalks that I loved the look of for our session. One of my favorite things about living in South Carolina is that you can find beautiful green nature backdrops all year round.
Enjoy a few of my favorite family photos of Ellen, Rob, and Grady from the outdoor portion of our family photo session on the campus of Furman University here in Greenville, South Carolina. I love these three, and I absolute love all of the photos from this family photo session! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do! I can't wait for all of the winter and spring family photoshoots coming up in the near future!

In Home Family Session
Ever since having my own baby, little Lillian, 4 months ago, I have discovered my love for photographing babies! For some reason, a lot of photographers will photograph newborn sessions, and then they won't photograph babies again until they are 6 months old and/or sitting up on their own. Many photographers don't like to photograph the "in between" months. However, I have so LOVED getting to document each different phase of my baby's life. They seem to grown and change so fast, and it is so fun to capture each precious phase and milestone. For this reason, I love to photograph babies of any age. The key is not to expect too much of a baby, and just capture them how they are! I know the parents love having these precious memories to cherish forever.
Little Grady is almost three months old, and I loved getting to photograph this session for him and his parents, Ellen and Rob. We took these photos in my little in home studio in Greenville, South Carolina. And I absolutely LOVE how these turned out. I love the natural window lighting in my studio. And I love that we were able to capture little Grady just the way he is now. Halfway through these photos, Grady decided it was nap time, and we got the most adorable sleepy baby photos.
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from this in home session with Ellen, Rob, and Grady.

In Studio Family Photos
I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with Ellen and Rob yet again! This was my 4th time getting to work with these two! And this time I got to work with little Grady, too! I got to photograph Ellen and Rob's engagement photos and their wedding photos back in Indiana. Then after I moved to Greenville, South Carolina, Ellen and Rob contacted me again to photograph their maternity photos, since they had moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, which isn't too far away! Now that little Grady is here, these sweet little family of three came back down to Greenville, so that I could photograph a family session for the three of them.
These photos took place in my little home studio. I set up a little rocking chair and table for a little nursery set up. Grady is almost three months old, and he did so amazing for this session! He is such an adorable little man, and he did so amazing looking at the camera. And I even got a few smiles out of him, which doesn't always happen at this age!
I'm so happy with this session of Ellen, Rob, and Grady! It's one of my favorite sessions to date! Enjoy just a few of my favorites from this super fun in studio family photo session! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! I'm so excited to share these photos with you all.
