This sweet May mini session took place during golden hour at one of my favorite hidden gems: the tall grass fields at Conestee Nature Preserve, just a short drive from Simpsonville, SC. The light was absolute magic, and this senior girl absolutely glowed in her white dress against the sunlit grass.

Mother’s Day Mini Session Cinematic Highlight Video - Greenville, SC Motherhood Photographer and Videographer
It was so special to not only be able to deliver not only a full gallery of photos but also a mini cinematic highlight video for each family or mommy and mini that participated in my mother’s day mini sessions this year. In only 15 minutes, I was able to capture over 100 photos for each family in addition to a 60-90 second cinematic highlight film. I love being able to create these sweet highlight videos for my clients. There’s something so special about video. There’s something so special about springtime—the way it brings new life, blooming flowers, and the perfect excuse to slow down and capture this fleeting season with your little ones. Family Floral Backdrop Mini Session in Taylors, SC
Lacey and her sweet little family were the last family during my studio floral backdrop mini sessions last weekend. She borrowed this beautiful maroon dress from my client closet. This dress is from my favorite dress shop, Worth Collective! This beautiful family consisted of mom, dad, two kids, and a little three month old baby. The mama really wanted a great photo of all five of them. I can totally relate to feeling like once you have a new baby, your previous family photos just feel incomplete since they are missing the newest addition. These Mommy and Me Mini Sessions for Mother’s Day this year was my second time getting to work with this sweet family for my Greenville, SC spring mini sessions! I also had the pleasure of photographing these fun girls with their beautiful mama during my floral spring mini sessions last year! It is SUCH an honor to be asked to document growing families year after year. For our family photos last year, the girls all wore beautiful, long, flowy, floral dresses. It was gorgeous! So for this year’s photos, Lindsey wanted a different vibe for some variety in the photos on their walls. I love the trendy grey sweatshirts with jeans and the matching mommy and me look with her daughters! Lindsey wanted unposed, playing on the floor photos with her kids. Greenville Mini Session Photographer - Mommy & Me Mother’s Day Mini Sessions
Here’s the honest truth. I see WAY too many photographers offering fake flower backdrops for their Mother’s Day Mommy and Me Mini sessions. And it drives me crazy. Fake flowers will never look like real flowers no matter how hard they try to convince you. And nothing will ever be able to match the beauty of real flowers for a mommy and me mother’s day mini session background.
That’s why my floral backdrop mini sessions will ALWAYS have REAL florals, designed by a PROFESSIONAL florist. This is one of those things where you should never cut costs as a photographer. And I promise you, I don’t. For this motherhood mini session event, I hired the amazing Rachel Deneroy Designs. The mini floral pillars that she created for us were absolutely incredible. And every mama who came in to the studio also commented on how amazing they smelled.
We used White Wall Studio for these beautiful floral backdrop mini sessions. White Wall is one of my favorite studios in the Greenville , SC area. Although I would love to try out even more studios around the area in the future!

After last year’s mother’s day mini sessions, I was so excited to increase the floral budget and go bigger and better with our floral backdrop this year! These motherhood event floral sessions are the PERFECT way to celebrate your motherhood journey. They make the best mother’s day gift to yourself or from your husband and/or kids!
The first session at my Mother’s Day mini sessions in Greenville this year was a very sweet mother and her baby girl! It was so much fun taking these mommy and me photos for Kaitlyn for her very first mother’s day. This mother’s day photoshoot was Kaitlyn’s mother’s day gift to herself for her first mother’s day. I was SO honored that she chose me for her mommy and me photoshoot!
Kaitlyn chose one of the stunning dresses in my client closet. I offer these totally free as part of my services. I have over 60 dresses for mamas to choose from! As well as outfits, swaddles, and props for newborn sessions.
