They had recently relocated all the way from Germany as part of an exciting opportunity to help open a new BMW plant right here in the Upstate. While they’re still settling in, this family wanted to document this special season with photos that capture the love and connection they share as a growing family.
We used the sun-filled downstairs of their home to create a warm, peaceful setting for their newborn photos. I brought along one of my favorite cozy wraps for classic solo shots of their baby boy, including a few that highlight those irresistible newborn details—tiny toes, soft swaddles, and dreamy little expressions.
What made this session especially unique was a personal request from the dad. As a car enthusiast (and someone working in the automotive industry), he brought out a few of his model cars to include in the shoot. We were able to capture their little one wrapped up and nestled between two vintage-style red cars—images that will surely become a treasured keepsake for this father and son.
Of course, we also made time for full family photos. There's something incredibly meaningful about capturing these early moments at home—with parents cuddling their newborn and soaking in this fleeting season of new beginnings.
